Yes. The Coles Gift Mastercard is processed as a Mastercard, not a Coles gift card.
Can you use a Coles gift card to buy a Coles MasterCard to then buy other gift cards at Coles?
You can use a Coles physical or digital gift card (in some circumstances) to purchase any third-party gift cards at Coles (e.g. Coles Gift Mastercard, TCN gift cards, iTunes gift cards).
Keep in mind that if you purchase a Coles Gift Mastercard, you’ll need to spend $5 or $7 on activation fees on top of the face value of the Coles Gift MasterCard, so purchasing one to use on purchasing another gift card at Coles doesn’t really make sense right now. It will definitely make more sense if there was a promotion on Coles Gift Mastercards, but there are none at the moment.
