  • Damn, just bought the Xiaomi set, guess I have to buy this too since the other accessories looks handy for prying open phones etc.

    • +3

Dont bother, the prying tools are terrible, they're not very robust.
The main screw/bit holder has these rubber gaskets for grip which just roll off, so no grip adn very limited torque unless you connect the torque bar to the screwdriver…which is ridiculous.
The whole design is a little flawed because the bits are on the opposite side to the holder (WTH) -tedious to flip back and forth.
Some of the bits are not toleranced well and are loose in the holder.

IMO, if you're just going to open the occasional computer or tighten some glasses, it works in a pinch, but fork out an extra $20 and you will get something much better that will last forever vs. cheap junk

      • Thanks for the heads up. Any one that you have had good experience that you would recommend?

Whatever happened to those cheapo Jackly sets for ~$5? Those were the days

    • All should be broken or disassembled by now.

Own 2 but not looking back.

same sets can be found for cheaper on ebay?

    • Thanks mate, got this one instead with $5 off eBay coupon (due to late arrival of package given by eBay), can't complain/can't resist $6.99.

  • +1

No deal, cheaper elsewhere as mentioned above. Neg.

Also cheaper on Aliexpress - US$10.30 + GST (~A$15.35) delivered.

    • +4

To be fair, there is a difference between something on Amazon that arrives in a couple days over something on Ali Express that arrives in a couple months.

      • +5

The point is that posting a deal with a code for a fake discount doesn't make this a bargain. This is Ozbargain not Ozfastestshipping.
        Seems more like free advertising.

    • Your link states AU$18.51+GST=$20.36, not "(A$15.35) delivered" which would make it more expensive for Amazon Prime members, not sure if the price has changed,
but it's advertised as a "Flash Deal" so I doubt it. But your neg vote on it seems unfair as you're comparing Screwdriver Kit coming from China,
usually around 4 weeks delivery to one within Australia that will arrive tomorrow!! As for your "free advertising" comment every OB deal with "Associated"
is free advertising, nothing wrong with this as long as it is a deal. In my opinion it is a deal and I own this screwdriver kit and it's excellent.

  • Do these have a thing for "tri screws"?

    • don't know what u mean, but 2nd row has these mercedes screw bits, and 3rd row down the bottom has triangle screw bits.
