My hands are used to holding a stubby so this is perfect

    Not the beer……

If only it had a teeny weeny extension bit.

    Not today Wera!

Careful, something does not add up! Listing is for 008883, but bit description is from 008884:

    • Bits in description (both here from OP as well as Amazon listing) fit the 008884, which is Slot 0.8, PH1, PH2, PZ1, PZ2, TX25

    • Looking at the 008883, it should have different bits: Slot 0.8, PH1, PH2, TX15, TX20, TX25

I don't know which one will be actually delivered, but they are clearly different.

Anyway, if you don't care that much about bits (e.g. plan to swap them from larger set) then for non-prime buyers, there seems to be similar one for $32.94: https://www.amazon.com.au/Wera-05008874001-Kraftform-Kompakt-magazine/dp/B08XTP1LR6/
Please note this is different model than OP posted. This one is 008874, which should have Slot 0.8, Slot 1.2, PH1, PH2, PZ1, PZ2

    • Thanks for this! I had no idea there was a slightly different SKU.

I've updated the post to reflect the 008883 bits list, and will check later tonight which ones it came with (I purchased one from the last deal).

      • well, thats the thing - amazon listing is not right either. I have no idea what they are actually selling when their title and description do not match :(

I suspect the description is wrong (which is where I copied from) - if you have a look at the listing images, one of the pictures has a list of bits matching Wera's website.

One thing to note, the one linked to in this post also appears to be non-ratcheting - if that matters to you. I almost pulled the trigger but then realised that.

Will I use the ratcheting mechanism? Probably not.

Do I want the ratcheting mechanism? Absolutely.

      • Oh damn! good pick! I will correct that.

edit: dang… can't edit comment which has been replied :(

        • So the 008883 isn't a ratchet screwdriver?

          • @parker2004au: 008883 and 008884 are ratcheting.

I added link to alternative model 008874 for people without prime which is only $2 more expensive, but didn't realise that this one is not ratcheting. That means it is not equal version with different bits but completely different product. Luckily mods were able to help and crossed it out.

  • Stubby Screwdriver was my nickname in high school.

    • Co-ed high school ? Or single ?
