  • Looking for a Lumix G100 kit, but these prices are def jacked.

  • Is the price for Fuji x-t4 with 18-55mm any good? At $2239.

    • Looking at the history, body-only has rarely gone below $2K in Australia for local stock so with the lens, seems like a pretty good deal to me. The only way it'd be cheaper would be if this sale coincided with a cashback on bodies (there is a cashback at the moment, but only lenses).

yeah. got some discounts on my zv-1 when ebay had a $50 off. at the time Sony had a further $50 discount from participating shops. so if the time is right you can save heaps.

  • The Fuji x100v looks enticing at the price point of 0.8 X 1819 = 1455.20.

  • Does the EM5 automatically come with the bonus 25mm lens?

    • Lens is claimed by redemption from Olympus (via the link in description).

      • Thank you.

Damn, that GX9 price was good. I wish I hadn't hesitated.

  • What's the best camera and lens for under 2k?

    • +2

It depends on your use cases. I would use this review as a rough guideline https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/au/buying-guides/the-best…, although availability of lenses and good deals at the time also influence me. The Olympus EM-5 III with lens is a great deal atm, unless you want full frame benefits like low light, dynamic range etc.

      • Thanks mate. I might go with the Olympus. I used to have a Nikon D800 with Sigma art 35mm and a Tamron SP 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD. I really liked the gear but it had two major problems. First it was too heavy, and second the video was worse than my Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I guess I shouldn't have expected it to have good video.
It's been a couple of years since I've sold my gear. Now I'm thinking of buying something that is good for street/night photography, and has a descent video.

        • +1

I have a M43 system and they’re great for street photography and wildlife but only average for night photography. One of the smaller Fuji bodies might be a better trade-off between size and night capture.

Yep, the E-M5 III and 25mm F1.8 fit your requirement for street/night, I don't think anything else come close at this price. This combo is quite light and unobtrusive as well.

  • Any idea when this deal ends? I am very very tempted by the EM5 mk3 but I am trying to convert some gift cards into ebay gift cards to make it even cheaper, but don't want to miss out cause I waited too long.

    • T&Cs have no end date, so…either seller sold out or eBay withdraws it…
There are 2 deals going atm, this op and this so you have a good chance though.

      • Cheers. I will probably pull the trigger sans gift cards as I have a feeling this might not be easy to resolve.

      • The lens redemption promotion has an end date though. You have to purchase the camera by 31st of July.

  • Hi OP,

I'm buying the EM-5 III now. Do you know how I can claim the lens?
