Worth a watch before you buy an expensive heater.

    • The elements may be the the same power output but there's definitely better and worse quality space heaters. I wouldn't be comfortable leaving something on overnight in my bedroom that was poor quality and may not even comply with australian standards. Either way, space heaters may be deemed efficient by the guy in the video based off how much heat they produce, but they are a terribly inefficient way to heat a room in Australia based off the cost to run.

      • So what do you recommend; what is the most efficient heating device?

        • Reserve cycle air conditioning is the most energy efficient as it uses a condenser.

  • I personally wouldn't recommend using high power devices with a power outlet converter. They're not safe, have personally experienced burnt plugs using a high quality converter.

    • You don't need a converter as it's Europe base which is 220v

Generally when the listing says european version it has european plug, just saying..

High electricity bills or disappointment in buying something from Kogan are two things that naturally springs to mind

    • why not both 😀

  • where does it say European?

I got it 2 days ago and it has a European plug with a European manual (including English). Everything on the heater is also in English.

      • Does it comply with Australian standards?

        • It has got the CE marking for European Standards.

    • This one actually looks pretty awesome… I wonder how effective it is heating a room?

  • I highly rate xiaomi products, however something such as a space heater is a risky exercise if it does not comply with local australian standards. Watts equal Heat, Heat equals fire if there is any kind of fault.
