Having this for years now, this gives great sound quality for the size, especially on the bass.
I've recently bought a Google Nest Audio and while that one has even better audio quality all around, it doesn't beat the quantity of bass on the Bose.

    • Good to know. Is it possible to tweak the bass to improve it much on the Nest Audio? Or does it turn into a muddy mess.

Thanks, I didn't know you could but it gives you Bass and Treble adjustments in the Google Home app.
With it maxed, the Google Home bass still doesn't match the quantity of the Bose, but it's clearer/punchier on the Nest Audio.

If they're the same price, I would pick the Nest Audio for sure in the audio quality department if you don't need the portability (it needs a power point) and if you don't mind that it's a Google Home/WiFi speaker.

How is this compared to ue boom?

I saw this from CamelCamelCamel this morning, bought one then decided to cancel the order. Since it is still using micro USB C which is really show charging, out dated. Checked some reviews and some are not so good.

Micro USB, not “micro USB C” :)

    • lol u canceled because of charging port?

    • charging speed has nothing to do with port in this case, Micro USB can do maximum 60W charging which I don't believe any speaker would charge at this rate. For durability, yes, type C is much better but I wouldn't cancel with the charging port if the price is right

  • Great sound from a small speaker. I find the sound so much clearer and the bass deeper on the Bose speakers, no tinniness. I have one connected to an old Apple Airport Express (which got a random AirPlay 2 update a while back) and use it as a permanent outdoor speaker.

Can anyone comment on the sounds quality vs the wonderboom 2?

Also it's showing as $195 for me…is there a code to enter?

i was interested too, but a quick google search told me

Bose SoundLink Color II fails in a lot of respects. Its volume is too low, sound quality is poor, durability is OK at best, and the battery life is low when you consider the volume problem.

i like the price, but the product doesn't seem good. i didn't need one, but willing to purchase wireless speaker at the right price.

    • I have the previous version of sound link colour and I can say that it’s sound volume and quality are very good! On the volume side you wouldn’t be able to run it in a living room at more than 30-40% of its peak volume limit. You can think how good it can be in outside space! And being BOSE a quality is always superb.

Would not touch another Bose with a bargepole.

    • yeah, highly relying on their established brand name these days rather than commitment to quality

  • I don't understand the desire for small Bose speakers like this, the soundlink mini, smart speaker 300/500.

Are they just trading on the brand name built by their larger speakers, or am I completely missing something special about their sound?

For my ears, you can get cheaper speakers that sound just as good. In fact I'd say I don't rate the sound out of these things very much at all.
