  • AIVI is a waste of money .. do you really need photos from the vacuum? and questionable object detection when my T8 never gets stuck.

Get the T8 for $599 from JB.

    The extra $250 is wasted.

No need to spend more than $500 to 600 for a full mapping robot like Roborock and T8.

The empty process is a 10 second task.

The extra features are marginal improvements.

Not worth the extra $400 .. save it for an upgrade in 12 to 24 months.

      • Its more about the auto empty to me, 2 dogs that shed a lot of hair. I doubt any robot vacuum would finish a full clean without being full of hair, my Dyson V11 quite often gets full but is still able to have decent suction to finish..

        • We have a dog too and am considering a robovac, do you have/ worth it? I want one that auto empties because it will fill up fast

          • @FreshPrinceofKP: No I don't have one, I'm thinking about grabbing one of these, but not finding many reviews for the T9+..

            • @Manusdei: Picked one up yesterday (T9+) for $1016 at TGGs (store matched TGG Commercial).

JB matched it too when I called up, so you can save a couple of $$ if you call and ask them to
              match TGGC store.

              I love it.

Haven’t had a robo vac before so no real benchmark for me, but the reviews I came across were all positive.

I’ve got 4 kids and a dog so letting this thing run every morning at 6:30am will be awesome. Wake up to a clean(ish) house.

              • @mrnugget: Maybe run during the day when at school .. wont it wake you up whilst you're sleeping as it vacuums under your bed?

    • This does seem cheaper than buying both separately?

  • waiting for $500 deal on Roborock s5max.

  • If you are buying a Chinese owned product then buy a Xiaomi backed one more so if the product needs software updates and smarts. I bought a second gen Roborock in the 300s when the Chinese products at that price range were not all that trusted..I only bought it because it has the Xiaomi backing and 4 years and a battery and brush change later it still works great and the mapping is awesome. But now Roborock is not under Xiaomi except for the software and the prices are in in non bargain territory so I bought a Viomi s9 with an auto emptying function for 799 at an introductory price and it worked just as well on my first floor as the Roborock does on the ground floor. Mind you neither mopping nor self emptying really works properly..never has. Then I found from ozb that prices had dropped and so I asked for and got a 200 dollar refund on the viomi s9 from the "local" xiaomi store. Now the viomi S9 is retailing for 549… I have only ever used the Roborock second gen and now the Viomi and tell you what save some money buy the Viomi before it goes into the no more bargain territory.. 549 is a steal..

Edit..meant to say Roborock not Robovac..have corrected it but Roborock is a solid choice if you can spare the dollars

Not sure if it's a pricing error or sale promo, but ecovacs eBay seller has this T8 AIVI for $499. Maybe due to pending release of T9 AIVI. Just be quick if you're in the market for one.

    • Thanks got one for $475 with a coupon code. Combined with the JB deal for the auto empty bin makes it a tad over $825 all up - happy with that!

      • coupon code pls

        • Was a unique eBay plus code

    • Got it. Thanks!

Thanks picked one up. I was holding out for a roborock s7 but turns out you can buy the "pro mop" for this unit which enables a vibrating mop pad

      • +1

The aussie model comes with the pro- mop

        • Makes the deal even sweeter

    • Wow that was quick mine has shipped

      • Mine too

    • And back to 999…

      • +1

that was a total deal - definitely warranted its own entry and it didn't get one!

Mine is not due to arrive until next Wednesday

    • After purchasing the T8 through ebay, ecovacs ebay offered me the auto empty station for 25% bringing it down to $300. Tempting

      • That's a deal - paid $340 through JB

        • Is the pro-mop any good? Can you guys provide some feedback those that bought one here?

    • Do you have any screenshots of this deal?

  • These sell for about $550 in Asia/Singapore. Been holding out for the DEEBOT N9+. I am looking for a strong mopping function. Might take forever to reach our shores though.. :(
