  • "If there is any queries please do let us know".

    Here you go:

"All our products are sourced from local Australian distributors.
You are buying from a down to earth simple Australian business - buy local for the better."

This is to show how insulting you are to the Australian people.
Also no address, no phone number, no any sort of contact.
And people have to trust you???

That's a bit harsh dude. A lot of ebay shops have minimal direct contact details, at least these guys list their ABN without needing to resort to detective work; and you do have the option of Paypal for whatever that's worth as far as security goes.

It's a decent price for what seem to be solid little speakers.

        Sorry to disappoint you….

        • +1

Don't beat yourself up too much, I'll get over it! :p

      • Thanks for the comment. We do publish our ABN and also the Registration number from the Department of Fair Trading. We do not have phone number as we do not have a retail outlet or at the storage there is not always someone to answer the phone.
We have operated so for the past five odd years, and we have been on eBay for about six years.

        Thanks and Regards.

    • In eBay our trust factor comes from the feedback we maintain. We have no way of editing that.

With regards to insult, if you tell me a little bit more as to how we have done that, I'll make sure to alter the words to fit the place better.
Getting people to buy locally has been a thing that I have been pushing for years. Our businesses constantly face competition from overseas. There are sellers from USA and Hong Kong that beats us in price often. Except when it comes to warranty its up to the buyer to send the product back to the originating country as locally the manufacturer will not handle the warranty. I see this happen all the time.

While "ALL" of the stock that we carry are from local distributor. We have to pay the local price. I suppose you can say it is our opinion when we say buying locally is better (for many reasons), though it was not said to cause anyone any insult I assure you.
      Regards.

      • Who TF would neg an innocuous comment like that? Pretty soon OzBargain is gonna need a domain name change to OzWhinyBitches! :p

  • Anyone know how these compare to Audioengine A5s?

    Overpriced piece of crap.

    • +2

Exactly.. No name, no indication of quality. Most likely made with the cheapest speakers available.

      Big gamble.

      • +1

The OEM manufacturer was discussed in the previous thread. The speakers are built by Microlab and is designed very close to their Solo5c model.

Indication of quality, that is difficult to explain over the internet apart from the specifications already mentioned. In the video there is a section where the speakers were turned up and filmed. Clearly visible from the movement of the woofer. And there were no distortion. The issue here is, how punchy the bass was could be felt by those standing there, the sound just gets recorded by the mic and then transmitted with the video, hence the viewers can not really feel that punch, except those who know about speakers can get the idea of how the speakers are.

        Point being:
        - No destortion was demonstrated
        - Woofer movement was also shown
        - There were plenty of close ups in the video
        - And the speakers are comparable to Microlab Solo5C speakers
        http://www.microlab.cn/product_detail.asp?id=277&bigclassid=…
(Same woofer and tweeter and heatsink)

Also we have received feedback on the speakers from people who bought these.
And at $95 we have repeat business from some of the same customers.

        Hope this was helpful.

        • What's on offer seems to be a poor cousin of the Solo5C mentioned here.

I see that you also have the Solo series for sale but your price + postage for them are too high compared to other suppliers according to staticice.

  • Hi, we do have various speakers from Microlab as well. As mentioned they are distributed from the same distributor. With price matching using StaticIce, that is a difficult thing. Out of the numerous sellers out there, it is not possible to match prices with everyone, we simply sell according to how we bought.

We welcome any sale of any product. The prices are as marked.

The bargain being discussed here is in regards to the Maestro Tempo 2.0, and to my knowledge we are currently offering the best deal.

    Quick comparison -
One seller from StaticIce who has both Microlab Solo5C and Maestro Tempo 2.0, the prices are thus:

    Microlab Solo5c - $105.51
    http://www.vtechindustries.com.au/microlab-solo5c-gamers-audio-speaker,-rms-power%3A-80-watt-(40-watt-%2A2),-wireless-remote-control,-high-quality-sound-and-full-range-spectrum

    Maestro Tempo 2.0 - $116.42
    http://www.vtechindustries.com.au/microlab-solo5c-gamers-audio-speaker,-rms-power%3A-80-watt-(40-watt-%2A2),-wireless-remote-control,-high-quality-sound-and-full-range-spectrum

    (As at 18/02/2012 18:40)

Not every one can do best price in everything, but most seller has one or two strong category/product.

    Kind Regards.

Okay, it sounds like you need go back to your distributor and negotiate better prices for the Solo series.
