Shredder is normally $34.99 and Laminator is normally $20.00 but both are on clearance at half price. Not sure if any other Woolworth stores have this same clearance.
I brought one of each, haven't tested the laminator yet, but the shredder is great and is well made.

Sure yours isn't the much smaller 5 sheet shredder that Woolies sold for $20??
As a general rule for longer life, only put 1/2 the rated capacity through. If the paper jams that bad & motor overheated as you say, you were overloading it. So 2-3 sheets is about right. Its meant only for lighter domestic use. 10 sheet has reverse switch in case of any jam, which works well, although have had no jams.
Actually youre right, it was the 5 sheet shredder. However the max amount of paper I ever put through was 2 papers. It was poor quality, however not sure if this one is or not.
Bought this shredder for $13.95 a few weeks back (put on wrong shelf by Woolies where the smaller $20 5 sheet shredder should have been, so they gave me it at the reduced price). Works great, fed a credit card through the CD shredder.

Any reviews on the laminator?
Anyone seen if this deal is avaialble at all woolworths e.g. across australia, or more spefically in Perth?
Never bought or used a laminator before, how much do you reckon one sheet of the plastic costs to supply it? And can it be undone once laminateD?

It shreds fine, no problems.
There were a handful of laminators left as well. I bought one but haven't used it yet as I don't have any laminate.
That Woolworths branded paper shredder is terrible. I bought one about a year ago for $20. It hardly cuts more than 2 papers at a time, it over heats, and 99% of the time the paper would shred and get caught in the shredder which would prevent you from putting in any more paper. Worse still there's no way to remove the caught up paper because it jams that badly. Ours is now sitting aside and we use it just as an overpriced fancy paper bin and nothing more. Seriously invest the money in something more reliable if youre after a paper shredder and definitely stay away from this one. Not a bargain in my opinion - youre only throwing away $17.
