PSA that officeworks on ebay is now closed permanently.
They have had their store set to holiday mode since last month and was set to expire today. When I checked back I saw they extended it until next month. I messaged them and their response was they are closed for good.
Letting anyone know if they are also waiting for their store to reopen.
Was there any advantage to purchasing through their eBay store?
I guess you could use discounted gift cards.
I have a $50 voucher that I have to use and was planning to use it on their store. Will have to find something else to use it on.

I'm seeing many stores leaving Ebay. Probably because their new payment system is having their cake and eating yours too.
eBay keeps ramping up the fees……. Its basically not worth the hassle for places like officeworks that ebay would be a small part of their sales.
I'm sure Officeworks got a sweetheart deal, but probably came with a slice of the clap for free.

Closed before the lockdowns. Infact it's been on the cards for several months now.
Ebay is good for Major Retail stores to use as a tool to clear individual stock that may not be in other stores, however obviously not suitable for a store like Officeworks.

Officeworks used to be the only store on the eBay literally where i could get the small valued items click and collect for free, like a dollar pens etc. just to meet the minimum spend limits etc.
Now will have to buy random stuff i dont need just for sake of meeting the minimum spend limit.
There is literally no minimum limit on their website
i am talking about minimum spend on vouchers on eBay website, e.g. $5 of $5+ spend, or $50 eBay plus signup voucher, etc.
Or certain offers from Shopback or Cashrewards asking for minimum $30 spend and you want to buy something of $25 on eBay, you simply buy something from OW of around $5.
Otherwise there is nothing i need from Officeworks website ever honestly.
Yes, it was really handy to use up eBay vouchers, even the $5 ones with free click and collect.
I guessing the deal got too stupid with ebay managed payments and Officeworks eventually just CBF

The only benefit I see of retailers on ebay is afterpay with no minimum.

Yeah noticed it a while back and also sent them a message but didn’t check if they replied or not. Now The Good Guys is like the Only Proper Store Left on Ebay
