  • Ahh crap, bought the 124019 last week for similar price.

  • Very nice!
Is there a code for 124016 (the desert truck version)?

      I found these BGe8b148 & BGVehicle10 at couponsfromchina*

Cheers, these brought it down to 141.29USD delivered. I feel the desert truck would be more durable as the front shock towers are protected by the body.

  • What would you recommend for use with an infant? Is this overkill?

      Speed:75km/h

      So yes.

    • This will take off infant ankles

    • Maybe this?
Not sure about it but itโ€™s max is 30km/h

    • This is kiddies toys for kiddies yet adult still play it. Maybe for kidults too…

    • Why would infants be playing with RC cars anyway? This makes no sense.

  • What is durability like?

Better off getting a traxxas etc? Parts etc.

    • +1

If you are new to the hobby, its very easy to break stuff on this, traxxas would be more durable but for the price you'd be lucky to get anything more than a brushed rustler on fb market place. Parts are cheap but will take a while to arrive.

    • Traxxas would be easier to get parts since local shops like hobby o would have them stocked. As far as durability, I mean it's plastic, hard hit to the wheels would break rods no matter the brand.

I started with a vkar bison years ago but spent extra to buy spare steering rods, suspension arms and spur gears. Ended up saving me 2-3 weeks when the parts eventually got damaged.

This would be good enough imo to start on, just buy spare parts while you're there to save headaches. The body itself won't break unless your jumping it like 2-3 metre in the air and bashing the crap out of it. If you stick around the hobby long enough then maybe upgrade to a traxxas or an Arrma limitless and slap a 6s on that bad boy.

The brushed versions of both these cars are excellent but I think brushless is kind of overkill. They're already plenty fast for the scale and the added cost of brushless makes them less attractive.

    • What added costs?

  • any more discounts on the Wltoys 144001 please?

  • I'm new to RC cars but looking to get one of these, is the Desert Buggy or Buggy better? Why would you pick one over the other?

    • Did you find any answers ?
