Repco Silverline, Proselect, TRW, Bendix Brake Pads from $0.09 @ Repco

210

I am guessing many of us are in lockdown at home, so why not get some auto parts and get some maintenance work done.

Also Brake Rotors from $5.39, cheaper than getting old ones machined.

Stay safe.

Very much hit and miss as stock levels are very low. Managed to get TRW front rotors (DF4295S) and Silverline oil filters for Golf TSi 2015. Also got a water pump for Mazda 3 2015 for $4.40.

  • I was unable to find stock nearby and there was no option to ship… oh well. Unsure how good the pro-select brakes are anyway. But for future reference, has anyone had experience with them? Do they perform similar to OEM?

i put a set on a rav during a previous clearance this year, we’re about $16 pair …..no squeaks, no shudder, stops like the factory ones did, only time will tell if they wear quicker or not …..

      • Nice :)

      • That's good to hear. Previous repco ozb threads comments absolutely crapped on these brake pads - seems some users prefer to follow conventional wisdom and spend more on the proper brakes. Are yours the Pro Select ceramic version? How do you find dust levels?

        • +1

it mentioned ceramic technology buy wasn’t called ceramic …..it’s on an old rav so don’t take any notice of brake dust ……

repco seem to be reinventing themselves with brands e.g …less repco red tools on shelves more repco blue tools, depending on what sells and if it doesn’t sell it’s clearance to free up space ….

457 items and not one to fit my car lol

Ye, I went through pages and pages of brake pads for a corolla, none fit…what a sale

I paid like 64 on ebay for Bendix brake pads ceramics and like 70 for protex ultra coated rotors.

Repco is only on clearance for cars that are least used/popular so with least demand stock gets cleared so cheaply.
Otherwise for my car nothing so cheap

But yes a very good find if something fits your model car

  • is there a cross reference guide?

    • put your number plate in and find your car(s).
select closest store and then just scroll through and look for the clearance logo
Gates timing belt kit, fuel filter and air filter (3 different cars) was what I found
      .

  • brake pads from 9 cents?! Shit…..

    • for accounting cheaper to sell than try to write and destroy stock …… they can do it with their own brand, not bendix, trw, etc

      • All stock brake pads are the same aren't they? Or are they different sizes irrespective if you got aftermarket race performance brakes or not?

  • Thanks OP, bought some spark plugs for 38c each and a set of front rotors for $52 for the pair.

Tip: ring up their customer support to find items stocked in other stores Australia wide. Change store on the website to one with stock and buy with flat rate $5 shipping when you log into Ignition Rewards at checkout. Ymmv but this always works for me in metro Sydney.

The ProSelect pads I ordered last time perform fine on the rear. Compared to the Bendix Ultimate up front I noticed they're a lot less dusty and build quality looks similar.
