Do you know the expiry date of them?

    • Thanks for asking and sorry I completely forgot to add it. 2027 or 2029 with the exception of the Energizer Advanced AAA Box of 60, 6 x 10pk which are 2023

  • Any rechargeable Ni-MH battery deal available?

    • I can look at putting another deal together. Are you interested in Duracell NiMH?

      • Duracell is good, but also depends what price you can do.

I have eneloop in bulk but there is a lot of fake eneloop around and whilst my price would be the best price for genuine eneloop I leave myself exposed to misinformation ruining my reputation.

I’m very cautious with my Ozbargain deals to make sure they are the best because if its anything but the best despite my best intentions I’ll cop a ban which happened to my account a few years ago when my marketing manager got the strategy wrong. I’ve learnt from that now.

    • Ok so my business partner has told me he has a deal on some 2650 Varta Pro NiMH that we have access to. This is the product VARTA Rechargeable AA 2600mAh Batteries 4 Pack there are only 38 available at the moment but I will be ordering more in and I'll likely put a separate deal together with it as a multipack buy with a lower price per unit to increase the value once shipping is taken into account however if you wanted to buy something else now and add this then it is in the Ozbargain category with reduced pricing.

Not against this deal, but if you can spend 16 bux, you can buy 8 Ladda batteries, will last much longer and less pollution.

    • NIMH are only 1.2V as opposed to 1.5V. They simply don’t perform as well as an Alkaline battery. The only 1.5V rechargeable is the iPower AA Lithium Ion and at $17 per battery out of a lot of people price range.

I use both disposable and single use depending on application.

A fully charged NiMh will be 1.3V. That is close to 1.5. Most appliances work fine with 1.2 to 1.3V as they are now designed for rechargeable batteries. I never had problems using NiMh in every appliances I have used. Also the discharge curve of NiMh is much better compared to alkaline. They can provide better current too. http://www.stefanv.com/electronics/using_nimh/nimh_vs_alkali…

        • Thanks for the chart and link to the article. I've read it and it's a well-written article. Also reading through some of his other articles and resources and based on this we will also run our own comparative tests in a few other scenarios too.

When we test we don't just test under a set load to discharge. We use this as a baseline test and then we also do them under pulse loads, higher drain, lower drain, multi-cell pulse loads etc. The results can vary greatly based on these factors to the point where even I was surprised by the results.

I was on the Today show just prior to Christmas sharing this test data in their "What Batteries to Buy For Xmas Special". As part of this, I showed our testing facility and the different procedures used and shared the test data along with my best "Battery Hack" based on the data I had. The main one I had was that the Aldi Alkaline AA Batteries performed extremely well in our baseline tests. I only had notification they were coming the 2 days before so didn't get time to do our normal extensive testing and whilst they weren't the best they were right up there and in front of some of the major consumer brands. As for the quality to do with leakage etc, I don't have data on that for them however my Hack was/is for kids toys, Aldi is a great choice depending on other deals and specials available at the time.
