[Prime, Hack] $0 International Expedited Delivery on Prime Eligible Items from Amazon US/UK (No Min Spend, Was $49) @ Amazon AU

I noticed this little trick to get free international delivery being discussed again in the It Takes Two deal, and realised I haven't seen it posted as a deal before so I thought I'd post one.

It's been known for a while now to some, but for those who don't know what to do, simply add a different item (or multiple) sold by Amazon US or UK to your cart to hit the $49 minimum spend and place your order, then cancel those items and you'll still get free shipping for the item/s you want.

Mod: The OP has asked us to remove the deal, due to the reception it has received from some members. However we have kept it published, as it appears to be of benefit to many. Thanks

      • The main thing is that the mod did not succumb to pressure. Otherwise I would have worried. Btw mod don't get neg.

      • +2

That's why we are here to support op. It is hard for people to be in that position. Cyber bullying can affect people mentally.

  • You'd think Amazon knows about this already, and probably one of the many bugs to fix low on the priority list. Question of whether this post will move it up the priority.

    • +5

….probably will be front page 'news' on news.com.au tomorrow morning….that should speed things along!

      • +2

OP can earn some money if he post a video on youtube and get lots of views.

    • +1

Top on the priority list in the next sprint.

  • -1

Should just change the name from OzBargain to Amazon bargain.

  • +2

Honestly feel that this shouldn't be abused …

  • +3

Thanks OP, this worked a treat =)

    • +1

Even better if you scroll back a page and upvote op's comment, op got lots of neg.

      • Not sure what you mean regarding op's comment?

I up voted this deal already?

I didn't neg your comment btw.

        • +2

I would've been surprised if I didn't get neg by my comment. So if you go to page 2, you will find op made a comment. Just to show your support, you can up vote that comment. I think that is the only comment op made on this forum.

Great. Thanks for exposing this. Will be patched within the week.

  • Amazon aren't stupid and this post only makes it overly exposed (supposed hack) to be fixed.

From some accounts people have had their entire order cancelled.

  • +1

Abusing a glitch is not a deal

  • +2

I think the 100+ down vote only attract more ozbargainers to read this post. May be not the best example, like the protest that happen last weekend only extend the lockdown not shorten it.

    • The extension would have happened without the protest. The rising existing cases are not linked to the protests.

    • +2

Yeah that was pretty silly having a freedom march only to extend it. Lol

    Deal of the Year.

Op should feel comfort in making a difference to the ozbargain's community and be encourage that there are lots of members will speak out on behalf of Op. After all it is a forum where users share ways to save money. I am grateful I was part of this community, I learnt a lot. I used to think gift card is a waste of money, now I know it is an important part of getting discount. If people are uncomfortable about members sharing money saving strategies inn this forum, I think they are commenting in the wrong forum. Or if they are hinting for a premium version of ozbargain, like ozbargain prime where VIP get the best secret about saving money. Best way to keep a secret is to not to share at all in the first place.

Is this a deal? Technically not a deal as it does not involve coupons or discount on a particular product.

Will it save ozbargainers a lot of money if they order in Amazon? Hell yes!

Does Op deserve these personal comments? Absolutely not!

Why Amazon didn't try to remove this hack on their website? Most likely by fixing this hack will cause more problems and probably give rise to other hacks.

People will also try to use this hack in other website, it seems to be more about how the website is programmed which allow certain hack to work.

At the end of the day, company try to save money having computer system to manage retail, consumers try their best to beat the system at the same time.

The person who created ozbargain site donate money to charity each year. This post match the spirit of this website, the aim is to help people and have some fun at the same time :)

  • Thanks OP love ya. Fawk the haters.

Reminded me of the movie meet the fockers (Never watched it, the ad on tv stuck in my head!). There is also a famous fashion brand FCUK.

Ozbargain is a site designed for Australian. Australia is a place well known for the quote, giving people a FAIR GO. Members who think they can bully, intimidate other users is simply, (a lack of better word) being UNAustralian. I genuinely hope those who make these unpleasant, sarcastic comments to op or to any other members, come to their senses one day. Someone having a different opinion or posting a deal that may affect other people chances of saving money does not give members the right to be offensive.

Used this hack yesterday, already got confirmation that it’s dispatched out today and cannot make anymore changes…

Great, I already made my required changes by cancelling the unwanted item straight after I pulled the trigger, so need not make any more changes 😂

    Thanks again OP!

  • Oh yeah, what to get from Amazon US.. guess there are some pantry items you can't get here but expensive anyway.
I got some G-Star jeans from Amazon UK, over $49 anyway and turned up in a week. Great as you can't easily get them here.

Guess there is heaps on there, just have to check it is actually cheaper.

    • Its Interesting looking on Amazon for G-star jeans….last time I saw jeans and pants from that brand they featured the most obnoxious logo styling I'd ever seen…. They seem to have toned them down a bit….. Thankfully :)

      • +1

Yeah I hadn't checked there for a while but managed to find a pair of my favorites (Revend skinny medium indigo aged) and also in the correct size (even better leg lengths ie 30/30).
Pretty good for $87 and some cashback.

Amazon US have started cancelling orders where this workaround is being used.

    • Are you kidding !
I'm sure people have been banned from AMZ by doing this :)

    • -1

Amazon US have started fulfilling orders where this workaround is being used.

Your statement is all anecdotal and means nothing without any source behind it. I don't doubt cancellations have happened before, but don't try make it out as if it's due to this post by stating "have started cancelling".

      • +1

I've purchased and part cancelled orders many times and have had them delivered. Did the same last night and the entire order was cancelled by amazon US. I have never had my orders cancelled like this after a part cancellation. No idea if it's due to this post, nor did I indicate that in my comment (that's your own projection). Take my comment with a grain of salt but I'd say there may have been an increase in such activity. Anecdotal and source? Wannabe journalist in the making? You forgot hearsay. Lol

        • Not quite mate, had you included your back story in your first comment rather than stating something so generalised then I need not had replied calling you out for not providing a source. Obviously the source was direct from the horse’s mouth, as we now know it. Could have made it easier for all just to say you experienced it personally.

Now that you have, it’s made me more conscious of whether I should continue to use this workaround or not. Cheers 🍻

          • @AnDyStYLe: It still works just fine. Amazon don't care about us ozbargainers doing it now and then anyway.

  • -2

im sure a multi billion dollar company is going to be worried about a few aussies getting free shipping… lol

  • -1

Hey guys I wanted to buy a product from US which was $15. I added 7 orders to the cart then before I paid I removed the items but the free shipping was not coming up like the post.
Or is it I pay for everything and then cancel the order very quickly?

Not sure what I’m doing wrong here.

    • Pay and then cancel the items you don't want.

      • Thank you so much. It worked

    • +2

Chat with CS staff if you can’t cancel by yourself.

    • +1

You need to pay and cancel before they charge and ship the items.

  • Doesn't seem to be working anymore, I have used this in the past but today when I go to cancel the items it then updates my remaining items to charge shipping cost.

    • Oh no. Did Amazon fix this glitch? They must be spying in OZB.
