Amazon High Number of Refunds Email

I recently received this email from Amazon AU, after returning a few items. These were within my rights and were just normal returns.

I have read recently about accounts being suspended without warning, losing access to their gift card balance and also prime subscription so I was wondering if anyone else had received this before?

Amazon warehouses have a hard time dealing with returns. Theres tonnes of legit products that just go to landfill, still in the box. Sad.

But, I DO know that there is a commonly known 'Amazon returns' scam that ppl have exploited for far too long that use the fact that amazon cant QC returns, so buyers purchase, then complain/request refund and scam amazon somehow through this process. Often Amazon just refunds the $, or sends a replacement, not requiring return of faulty goods. Or if they do, you just send something else back, im not sure how the scam works exactly. But they refund you first, before even receiving the return. So I think they are finally cracking down on that.
