Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti ELITE 8G Video Card (LHR Version) $1,086 + Delivery @ Skycomp

250

Heyo! I've been camping every day looking up good 3060ti offers and chanced upon this. This usually goes for 1300-ish in the usual pricing range so I find it a bit more reasonable than usual. This also has a higher power limit vs the 2-fan setups of other GPUs (270W vs 220W) so it'll perform better than the previous 3060ti posts in ozbargain and the lighting is delicious no?

Fingers crossed recent the bump in btc prices won't affect the gpu prices for too long 🤞 Would've jumped on this if I haven't still been waiting on a backorder card I got 3 months ago at a sweeter price.

      and 3080's around 1350~ish…

    • Can you please share a link mate… thanks

      • What didn't you understand I said when the 3070s go back to their original price of around $999 I will buy 🤦‍♂️

        • +2

Oops 😅. Rushing through… I'd like to see these prices soon !

    • -2

      Isn't a 3060TI better then a 3070? So why bother?

    Imagine paying $1100 for a 1080p card.

    • +8

Pretty far from a '1080p' card. Performs close to a 3070 if the model of card and vrm's allow for decent overclocking. The model seen above is one of those good models. I do agree that the prices are ridiculous though.

      • +1

OC headroom is a bonus. This doesn't perform like a 3070 out of the box. Not everyone knows how to, or wants to OC. This performs as a 3060Ti, sold as a 3060Ti, price is for a 3060Ti.

        • +4

I agree that OC'ing doesn't appeal to the wide consensus of customers. And in general, 3060 Ti's are priced and sold as 3060 Ti's. I was more so just making a point that this card offers great bang for the buck value relative to the performance of the 3070 - and savings could be made by overclocking a mid-high end 3060 Ti from a reputable manufacturer. 3060 Ti's perform differently to each other depending on the Power Limits, VRM solutions etc. Also wanted to rebut Juice's claim that this was a '1080p' card.

        • +1

I agree. Also though the 3070 has more cores and should perform better at ray tracing etc even if you can crank up the 3060ti to get the raw performance to match.

If you need a 3070, probably best to get a 3070.

    • +9

This is very much so not a 1080p card, Yes it will run pretty much anything at 1080p but also excells at 1440p, speaking from personal experience. This card would also do pretty well at 4k with reasonable settings I'd assume (haven't personally tried 4k yet). Do remember that this card comes between the 2080 super and 2080ti. With that said, It is not worth $1100 you are right, but obviously we are all waiting for the market to settle back, hence the HOLD

      • How does the 3060ti go when you turn on Ray Tracing? 1440p might be a bit of an ask.

        • +1

Great question! Depends on the game obviously but usually maintains above 60 in games like Cold war and Cyberpunk but not above 100, however when DLSS is on the weakest setting (Quality) it runs awesome (over 100fps), mileage may vary per system (CPU etc..) but yeah I think 1440p raytracing is the edge of its reach.

    • +4

China was right to do what they did. Burning through their resources and the ozone layer to mine this proof of work crap.

Wouldn't hurt a few more countries to do it, instead of simply banning performance PCs.

Friends don't let friends buy 3060 (Ti) cards for $1000+

Rip off. I'm disgusted this made it's way onto a bargain forum. For shame…

    • +8

You tell em, Bubble O' Bill.

  • It is a top notch 3060Ti, which makes its performance close to a ref 3070. A good deal.

    • A good 3070 was $949-999 so not really a good deal…

      • +3

        Then…HOLD

Ooft that's a sexy card. I'm very much on the HODL bandwagon but that brings out a bit of temptation for me

      • +2

Very sexy for a white build.
Chop a hundred off and I'm sold!

      • +2

i bought the 3070 vision for $1099 earlier this year for reference

          Thus, hodl…is it very quiet?

          • +2

@Dvbargain: yes i was commenting for support, definitely hodl. Ive undervolted so temps dont go past 60 for gaming so it is very quiet. Im pretty sure stock settings are still on the quiet side

    • +1

Damn that's a nice looking card, using a Gigabyte 3060Ti already but that card makes me want to replace it.

    • This is tempting.. I've sold my 3080 and need a white downgrade to replace it..

    • No delicious lighting no?

  • +1

Anyone know how much this card was when it launched?

    • +1

I got one for $799 (gigabyte eagle OC, included a 'free' nvme drive) in Dec 2020 and at the time I thought it was a little overpriced. Although, looking back it's a bargain…
A gigabyte auros is a more premium offering, so I think they sold in the 850 to 900 range
