What Tools / Websites etc. Do You Guys Use to Make Sure You're Getting a "Bargain"

Just curious on what everyone uses to weigh up prices, find the lowest price and price history of items and get bargains.

I know of StaticIce, pretty basic price compare for Australian retailers, Camel Camel Camel au for Amazon price history and OzBargain I guess for any previous deals on products and what not.

Are there any other websites that you use that help? Sorry if this has been asked before…

Because they are usually lower than Harvey Norman, JB or TGG.
If I know what I want all then I want is a price.
If it is an LG Fridge, I'm not fussed who sells it to me, I'm after the price, delivered.
Sometimes they are cheaper than AppliancesOnline.

  • Honey chrome extension has been mentioned before but I've found the extension to be mostly US-centric. I'm guessing that Honey (PayPal) doesn't have as many affiliate partners with Australian retailers. Not sure if it has an impact on cashback tracking.

LittleBirdie recently launched their deals site with a "price drop" notification function. Site is very cluttered and headache inducing but if you know exactly what you're after then it's pretty useful site to watch for price decreases. It also tracks prices on BigW and Woolworths — something that PriceHipster is blocked from doing due to bad relationship between them.

Distill web monitor tracks changes on a website

Amazon web assistant can notify you if the item you're looking at can be found cheaper on Amazon. Privacy caveat: it tracks your browser history. Probably even knows what you've been buying from it's competitors. A little bit scary for me but I guess some people won't mind if it saves them a bit of $.
