Great deal on Greenies is back at Amazon. If you subscribe and save and have Prime then for a touch over $30 you can get your hands on 1kilo of treats for your best friend. You'd be barking mad to miss out.

I know some people prefer not to use these because of the inclusion of glycerin, and that there will potentially be links to articles of badness but if you are happy with the product then its a great price.

  • A good price, i personally prefer just give my dog dried roo and veal tendons to chew on everyday. Gets at least one of each daily.

    • What is the best place to buy them?

      • +1

Can't say i know the best, but i buy the big 750g bags of tendons from WAG. They have their own website but often also on Catch and Amazon. I think they have sales too so keep an eye on for black friday and stuff. My dog is only a bit over 5kg so small. The veal ones are crunchy, the roo and beef are a bit chewy. He goes ape shit over them so excited for his nightly one after dinner.

        • Perks of having a small dog!
My 9 month old 30kg lab finishes every popular chew snack within minutes. Dentastix within seconds.
I've been giving him jumbo bully sticks which last him nearly an hour, bit on the costly side but keeps my household things safe from his teeth and keeps him occupied while I'm away. Nutritious too.
          Thanks for the info!

          • @47: Yep, not by accident. Not many options outside of bones for larger dogs. I had some success putting a few roo tendons and the like in a diy ice block for my sisters larger beagle whose head is basically a waste disposal unit.

  • Looks like Amazon had a pricing error. These are now $48.14 or $43.33(S&S). Once again I missed out by a a few seconds :(

  • What's a legit dental cleaning cost and any suggestions on what to look for when booking in a place, for doggo of course?

    • Just got my pugs teeth cleaned. Had 4 teeth extracted. $700. They have to put them under so its not cheap. I have heard of services where they try to clean while the dog is awake but not sure how well that works

    • I got a quote for grade 1 cleaning for petstock vet for $250 (including anaesthetic) which was the cheapest out of 3 vets, greencross vets and another local vet. The vet did a full body check and checked her teeth during her annual vaccinations and gave that quote.

The rest started from 350 and above, depending on the severity of dental disease. Havnt booked in yet due to lockdown so cant comment on how good it is! But best to do it asap to prevent dental disease from happening as mentioned above, the more services required the more expensive.
