5.a) Lay-by and purchases from duty-free, discounted or clearance eBay sales, refurbished products from the official Sony Australia eBay store, parallel import stores and second-hand purchases/retailers are excluded from this Promotion.

I also don't even see a 3% discount on my end.

    • Product listing says BRAND NEW

eBay 3% not sure, might be targeted code?

Currentfad ’s right. I messaged them 2 months back and they said no cash back promotion applicable from their eBay store.

Strange that JBHifi is not on the list for authorised sellers? Even though Good Guys is and is owned by JB.

This TV looks like almost the perfect upgrade 55" for me except for the price :) I'm looking to spend $2k max and was keen on another Sony but this LG looks like the better value for money deal at $1880 https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/oled55a1pta-lg-55-inch-4…

A1 is probably the worst Oled released…I wouldn’t be suprised if it dropped to $1500 in 2-3 months time.

I would suggest paying an extra $600 for this or get a BX or a C1.

Or wait til this goes down closer to $2k.

        • Not even sure I even need OLED. I have a 10 year old Sony that has somehow survived 3 house moves (I keep wanting it to die to justify spending money) https://www.cnet.com/reviews/sony-bravia-kdl-40ex720-review/

I have a feeling even a cheap Kogan 55" will do the trick but the Sony surviving so long makes me want to try my luck with another.

I try to limit TV normally as much as possible although in Sydney lockdown it gets lots and lots of Netflix use and I also connect it to a separate media PC running Plex and for kids to do their home schooling on.

@slick7: We’ve still got a Sony lcd from 2005 still going….I’m waiting for this to confirm VRR for PS5 in December and it will probably drop to $2.2k.

LG has really stepped up their game and I was considering getting the 55” BX for $1695. There’s also the option of older Sony oleds going to $1.25k - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-NEW-KD55A8H-55-KD-55A8H-OLE…

            • @ne-us: thanks - the KD55A8H you linked is nowhere near $1.25k. Do you mean there are other models around that price range or keep looking for that one around the reduced price?

@slick7: Sorry, I meant keep it on your watch list on eBay when it goes on sale for 50%…Sony eBay is where they clear old stock.

@slick7: Down to $2315 if you have eBay plus 10% off TECH10OFF and also get Sony $200 cash back. Still no VRR confirmed though.
