Purchased the Xbox Series X 1TB Expansion card, worked out $296. Good deal.

    • aaahhh this is tempting but still the idea of paying $300 to expand the storage on my $750 console makes me grit my teeth.

      • Lol, I grit my teeth too but I'm sick of uninstalling games to fit on new ones and it's not an item I imagine will get much cheaper in future given its proprietary nature.

  • Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED Turbo ARGB is $58.65 delivered, still cheaper Centre Com at $55 if you can collect though.

  • Looking for the 12900 Alder Lake and Z690 m/board to buy

    • +1

      Speaking of which

      I picked up a 10900 for around $400 and a b460 board for $100.
Will be a good CPU for my home server, 10 cores and good boost.
      Quicksync for plex hardware transcoding.

Alder Lake is going to be expensive I think, especially when the i9 will likely have 24 threads (8+8).

      • I appreciate the choice of the 10 series over 11

I am starting to think Alder Lake is going to be a premium, might be worth waiting for 2022…

        I have a 9900k hampered by a Z370 board.

        • +1

The 10 series is clearly better than the 11, espeically when running VM's you need more cores.

It was a very hard choice not to get a 3900x (for not much more under this deal), especially when I am already running AM4. But Qucksync is an absolute beast, and the B460 boards have more sata / PCI bandwidth, 2.5g LAN.
Anyway, first time intel so wait and see!

  • F, that will teach me to look around. Cart full now code doesn't work, F F F.
