XPS blows hard, at least the last generation. The heating design is just atrocious.
As an XPS 9310 owner, I can’t say I’ve had any problems. In fact we have two in our household (one UHD and one FHD). Both are fine for every day tasks.
I take it that the FHD would have better battery life. Can you tell much difference in screen quality especially if they are 13"?
@Savvy: Screens are literally identical to my eye, the FHD has much better battery life. The only reason I picked the UHD was because it was actually cheaper on sale at the time from about $3700 to $2100. The missus liked it and bought the FHD which was on sale from $2999 to $2000 or so about 3 months later.
I wouldn’t opt for the 4K unless you needed it or it was same price / cheaper
The MX350 and Iris XE are almost on par. I have this same laptop for work.
How is your experience? Do you recommend this?

If you’re not going to use the MX350 I’d be going with a 13” XPS which has a much nicer screen and better build quality. On sales they are very similar prices.
