Good Quality Android Tablet from eBay?

Hey guys,

Been wanting to purchase a android tablet for a while (had a 7" and sold it and now want a 10") and I've been looking around on Ebay. Just wondering if anyone knows that this tablet is/can be good quality?

Looks good, specs sound good and good for its price. Anyone have a opinion on it?

Thanks

  • personally id stick with a brand name
You got better chance of support

  • True, but I don't want to pay an extra $200 just to purchase something very identical with support.

Transformer 16gb tablet were $329 from here. Well worth the $90 over the ebay tablet.
If you are patient enough there will always be another sale.

I got one of these and community support is great! I flashed a new rom and kernel with an overclock from 1GHz to 1.6GHz. Running very quick and snappy now.

  • +1

No, you don't have to pay extra $200 for brand named Android tablets. As PlayerOne has suggested — last gen Asus Transformer is a great tablet. Acer Iconia and Toshiba AT100 have been sold for sub-$300 here, both with higher resolution screen, Tegra 2 dual core CPU, proper sized USB host, etc.

For single-core Cortex-A9 based tablets, have a look at this thread here, especially the new 7" Ainol Novo 7 Aurora which you can get an 7" IPS screen ICS tablet for ~$150. There is really no point spending more than that on a no-brand tablet on eBay.

  • Sounds good, there was a recent bargain put through for a refurbished one.. might think of getting that.

  • I just ordered an aurora for $147.90 from www.spemall.com
From what I can see they ate a very nice little tablet!

I think I will be grabbing an aurora II also at some stage then I can hand the other to the kids :)
