    They're good to keep the sleeves from riding up when you put on another layer of clothing. Also useful to "close the gap" so cold air doesn't get in.

  Wow! I was only just looking at Woollen tops and even on special, they're four times the price.

  Microfibre eh? Stay warm and choke a penguin. These will last heaps longer, almost forever in fact.

  Then again, the woollen ones would last heaps longer as a top as long as you don't let things chew it. That's usually pretty simple in climates where you need it.
