Arriving fresh, how long do they have until best before date?

  • +2

Can they be frozen to extend the shelf life?

    • +1

Fresh meals will last for 9-10+ days shelf life or 12 weeks if you freeze the meals upon delivery.

  • has anyone here used them before?

  • You seem to be based in NSW.
    - Is all of your prep / cooking undertaken in NSW, or do you have kitchens in each state?

    • Hi there, all in NSW at this stage in Seven Hills NSW.

      • Thanks.
So the "…local farms…" are only from NSW I assume? Are they near your location or do you buy via wholesaler(s)?

Delivery from NSW to Vic (where I am) is a deal breaker for me.

@cookedupfreshmeals: I didn't question that info. I just stated that the delivery is a deal breaker for me. There are other providers that do the same; I don't order from them either.
I do order from providers that are closer to my location.

        • We buy from a supplier in Homebush NSW who’s farms are in NSW

@cookedupfreshmeals: So potentially not so local farms?

            • +10

@GG57: 'Local farms' generally means Australian and/or local to the company. It's unreasonable to expect that a company that cover multiple states will use farms local to your suburb.

  • Will give it a try.

Seems to be a potential issue with delivery options. Under check delivery it said it delivered to my area on Sundays, but in checkout it gave me Monday.

    • What is your post code, let me check please.

      • 3818

        • Hi Jacob, just checked with the delivery firm and the delivery days are between Sunday to Tuesday (it will be wither one of these days)

  • The photos are quite small, a bit hard to see the image. Will be better if the website provide higher resolution photo that will attract more sale.

    • Agreed. Function to be able to click on the photo and see a bigger image would be useful. Also, would be nice if information such as meal's weight and number of calories was made available.

      • Yes, we have got this one as well and have moved this feature to be in development.

For now, we have to look at individual products under all meals to see the full image.

        • Yes, the bigger image does make it look more appetizing, putting it next to when people order will help people decide and even order more.

        • Could I just confirm you have chefs at seven hills to cook these meals and air seal them, so no preservative used?

  • What's the weight of each individual meal box? If I place the order for VIC (Melbourne metro) now, how long would it take to reach approximately?

    • Looks like you pick the day you want your meals delivered.

    • I was able to find the weight and calories for each meal by going to their "All Meals" section. Would have been easier if there were hyperlinks to the meal information from the "Any 15 Meals for $99.99" page rather than having to go to All Meals, find the meal then click on it to see this information.

  • What's the time window on Sun to Tues that your third party delivery company delivers? Reason I ask is because my place is located in a high foot traffic area so I need to be home (and awake should it be early morning) to accept the delivery.

    • If we can find out what postcode we can ring the delivery company

      • 2020

  • Where do we find the nutritional info for your meals OP?

    • all meals are on each individual meal at the product level. Goto All Meals and see each meal they have nutrition tables.

  • Hey rep, I bought from your previous deal post and was supposed to receive the food today (14 Aug Saturday). Nothing arrived, no notification, no update. Had to make alternate dinner plans. Not good enough!

    Buyer beware!

    • Hi there please provide your order number you should have got a TEXT from the courier company. pls confirm.

      • I got a text for a Sunday 15th August delivery last night, when it is stated on the order and invoice that delivery is to be on Saturday. No updates or notification from Cooked Up that the delivery will NOT be on Saturday and will be delayed. Any explanation for that?

Anyone considering a purchase should be aware of this in case they end up in the same situation for their delivery.

Also, note that there is no ABN on their website and Tax Invoice.

        • Hi There,

ABN on the Footer, and thanks for pointing out the ABN on invoice which is now rectified.
Courier company is trying their best to get the meals out between SAT and TUE during this hard times. Pls understand that the courier company is trying to ensure you get the exact timeframe.
Its not like we are dodging you intentionally.
I am happy for someone to call you if you provide your order number.

          • +2

@cookedupfreshmeals: It's managing expectations. When I ordered, it was stated that delivery will be on a Saturday, not "between Saturday and Tuesday".

I understand that delays do happen, especially with the covid crazyness. But the least that should've been done was to communicate to customers early that there will be a delay, not at the end of the day. You wouldn't arrange a coffee meeting with someone at a cafe and do a no-show without telling the other person would you? (Unless you are one of those buyers from Facebook marketplace).

If comms of a delay was the responsibility of the courier then it's something that needs some work between you and them.

This is a genuine feedback if you want to grow the business. Not acknowledging that it could have been managed differently would help you lose potential repeat customers. But judging from your responses here I'm sure it is something that you'd take note of and rectify.

  • Thats a great deal. I've already eaten 10 of these meals and they are great quality.
Maintain the emphasis on keeping them clean and healthy and I'm confident many people like myself will stick with you.
