HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e AIO Printer $202 + Delivery @ The Good Guys Commercial (Membership Required)

90

Was looking for a don't break the bank bank AIO with some key features:

  • Duplex Print and Scanning
  • Colour printer
  • Scan to Email
  • Low maintenance as won't be printing too much
  • Smart features mostly print from mobile devices

Was tossing between this one and Epson WF-4835 ($189 delivered) but went for the HP. Both have similar features but HP has lower print cost and HP+ Subscription is available.
Will sign up for HP+ $1.99 (15 pages) a month Subscription for start. HP+ will take care of the cartridge refill/cost and adds 1 yr Warranty.

Generally selling for $279.
So, thought i'll share if someone looking for one.

Friends don't let their friends buy Inkjet printers. All jet printers I had ended up in garbage bin. Brother laser one serves me 5 years now

      • My Epson WF-3620 might be an exception? Has everything, happily use cheap generic ink, and lasted me 3 years so far. All for some $120.

First sentence is word for word what I said before I even scrolled to the comments. :)

      • Was looking for a laser printer last week. Looks like they're sold out everywhere. Not sure if it's the component shortage that's causing it, or everyone home schooling, or both.

      buy a brother mrc-l2750dw
      laser, mono

      • Thanks, wanted a Colour printer as I might need it for that one odd occasion.
Couldn't justify that high upfront cost with Colour Laser and ongoing in comparison to HP+ when you need very low volume of printing.

Low volume + inkjet is a problem in my opinion. I have no end of issues as inkjet printers when they sit doing nothing break. The print heads get clogged with dried in and you spend more of your ink cleaning flushing the print head than printing. With all this homeschool I am now buying a laser. Better than all these inkjets that just end up in landfills.

          • @jaymzrsa: I don't know, I've been using a $30 HP 2130 for home schooling since 2020, and it's been fine so far.

      • What would be the colour version of this?

  • Good price - I couldn't find it anywhere on discount so had to pay (close to) RRP from HP.

  • Is there any smaller laser printer anyone can recommend which is cheaper to run, only need print, copy and scan functions?

  • Will sign up for HP+ $1.99 (15 pages) a month Subscription for start. HP+ will take care of the cartridge refill/cost and adds 1 yr Warranty.

TIL - Thanks OP. Will try that once my current ink stock runs out. Looks like allows 300% rollover as well. perfect for occasional printer users like me.

  • A quick search online says you're going to spend $200+ replacing all the cartridges (using genuine HP inks).

    • Give it time, the generics or soon to be expired genuine inks will pop up on eBay.

There could be issues using 3rd-party inks: HP Instant Ink — Ink and Toner Monthly Subscription

    • Do they send cartridges every month, or how does it work?

      • The Printer needs to have access to the Internet and HP send the cartridges before they run out, as they get the stats for ink levels.

    • HP cartridges have DRM lol

  • Eww Inkjet!! I have a brother mono laser and you can’t beat it. A $8 black cartage does more than 2000 pages and lasts forever!! The once in a blue moon colour printing is done at my local officeworks.

    • Link of that $8 cartridge and model of printer?
I need to buy a printer lol

    • and also link to the brother mono laser printer also please?

      • +1

        I have a Brother-HL-1110. I bought that 3 years ago for $40 from Officeworks.

        • I have the same one. I only regret not getting a slightly higher spec Brother with duplex for paper saving and network connection for printer sharing. Performance-wise though, can't go wrong, and I load mine with generic ebay refills no issues

        • had the same one but the printing quality was below than average.

  • What’s an available laser printer that’s easy to find cheap refills for and that’s reliable and not very expensive?
