My name is Dante and I am the guy that will make and deliver your mousse cakes! I have been baking for the last 4 years for myself, friends, and family members. I publicly opened Onyx Hive on the 1st of July 2021 as I wanted to share my desire and creations with you! I operate this business solely. More about me here

Are you covid safe?

I take covid very seriously and I follow the NSW health policies. I am covid vaccinated, I purchase my groceries online and get them delivered to my place, I am also the person responsible for delivering your cakes as well so there will be no third party handling your cake package and I will deliver in-person.

If requested, I will leave the cake at your doorstep but I rather hand the cake over to you as the cake needs to be refrigerated. I am deemed to be an authorised worker to deliver your cake only.

Notes:

• All cakes are made to order and your delivery date will be automatically selected 3 days in advance of the order date. You can select any date after 3 days as well.
• I can not make these cakes within 2 days, due to the design it needs time to set
• Specific dates may be blocked if I am at capacity
• Code can be used multiple times on multiple orders

  Just wondering for next time…saw on your social media that you can customise your cake designs/colours, what’s the process for customising your cake? Does it cost extra? Can you also customise flavours?

    Hello!

    I am so sorry for the late reply! But thank you for your order!

    I am currently working on a custom order product on my website as we speak, though right now, customers have been asking for 1 change either for a different colour or the Scarlet strawberry cake in another design. At the moment, I am catering these once-off changes at no extra charge :) (I believe you requested 1 change and I did reply back to your order).

    But if someone wants a lot of changes, then I will redirect them to the custom cake page: the custom product page will allow you guys to choose the design, mousse flavour, cake flavour, middle cream flavour, outer coating colour, dual outer coating colours and many more! Due to website product limitations, this has been delayed and I am trying to design an interface where the customer can easily purchase a custom cake without feeling overwhelmed.

    Customisable flavours can be requested when the new custom product page is up but only to the current flavours I have on the website. For example, if someone requests for me to make a mango mousse cake or a red velvet cake, I would politely decline. As much as I want to, the current flavours on the website at the moment have taken me months to create with multiple user taste testing sessions and a lot of ingredient tweaks. For me to create an off the books flavour is a huge risk for anyone and myself. I rather have your hard-earned money go towards another baker that can create your flavour.

      Hey thank you, that was exactly what I wanted to know. I knew that you offered customisation but didn’t know how much was customisable.

      It’s great that you offer colour/design changes for free atleast for now. I’ve seen different design/colour combos posted online so was curious how much they cost.
