    the sticker on the underside of ours gives a rating of 800 - 875 watts. Not sure if this is helpful.

  Would buy one if I knew how to cook. Is this a benefit to someone that has no cooking skills at all?

    It's easy, you just fill the bottom reservoir with water, put the quantity of food you want to steam in each separate basket (the manual tells you how long you need to cook it for, with the longest steaming item at the bottom), you turn the dial to how long you need to cook it for and voila..

  or, because it's clear, you can just wait until it looks cooked …

  you can start steaming vegestables
  go to your local asian grocer and get some dumplings to steam (and some ketsap manis)
  make poached eggs
  cook rice
  steam some steak if you want!!

    Hi we bought one the other week when it was last offered. We have cooked chicken in it, it cooked well but was very bland on its own.

    You can, but pretty much any meat is horrible. Just as healthy to grill it and tastes better.
