            @Laziofogna: All 2.5 drives on the market are are SMR now. They are not too bad for storage, but random write performance will suffer.

          @DiscountForThee: Officeworks weren't picking up their phone, my local store saying low stock, may be worth a drive down there.
          These should be fine for a working data drive right? or is a 3.5" mechanical drive still better?
          I think it may be a bit slow these days? (WD20EARS-00MVWB0 SATA 3Gb/s)
          Something like an 8 or 10TB Seagate IronWolf NAS 3.5" HDD SATA woudl probably be better long term, maybe too noisy for a pc on the desk I suppose.
