Looks like you need to provide an email address to register.
Get a temp email address or risk having your inbox full of yet more "buy me" spam.

AND won't close on Mac without force quit. Yeah nah. Too many immediate red flags. Uninstalled.

  • How's it compare to jdownloader?

  • Anyone know if this work with Facebook private group videos?

What does this do that YTDL doesn't? Free, open source amd probably what the above is based on.

    And with a nice gui
    https://github.com/MrS0m30n3/youtube-dl-gui

    • Thanks for the details of YTDL

What are the basic steps to install it in Windows?

Run the exe of youtube-dl then run the Windows installer of Youtube-DLG ?

      • +1

From what I remember, For windows, just run the gui installer, it'll grab the lastest version of YTDL executable.

YTDL handles all the catchup TV too. I've used it iview, sbs anlld with a VPN for bbc, ch4.

  • Does anyone know if this works with unlisted YouTube videos? I tried YTDL and all of the web-based options, they couldn't download it (one could only download the audio)

  • After installing
Do we need to buy ?
    It still says trial period

  • Unknown error once entering the activation code

  • -2

Thanks for the effort, but I am getting "Unknown error" and not registering.

Voting neg as even the free version fails to download anything.

    Uninstalling and unsubscribing…

The problem could be in your end rather than on the installation process and it's nothing to do with the deal.

  • seeing these last 3 posts, I decided to grab & install the Win file and entered the serial # provided for activation .. I am currently DL a youtube video to test and it is currently working perfectly fine on my Win10

  • will this record zoom?

  • Why would you buy the 1 year version, when for US$10 you can get a lifetime license?

Why would you spend US$9.95 for a 1 month subscription?

    Whacky pricing model.

    • Where is showing $10, cheapest I'm seeing is $39.95 for lifetime.

Also, the website is sparse on company/ personnel information and the Authors tab just list a bunch of young article writers, not anyone that appears to work there.

      • If you go to the 'Buy Now' page, it lists the different options.

        • That's where I'm looking- AceThinker Video Keeper Pricing Plans
it says Personal - Lifetime $59.95 USD $39.95 For 2 Computers (Win & Mac) with lifetime support and upgrade. No recurring fee.

          • @alidli: Ahhh … I clicked on the product page link, which has a 'Buy Now' link, which has several different options than the one presented if you click the OzBargain link under the title.

            • @photonbuddy: 'Visit product page' —> 'Buy Now' gives me $39 for a lifetime license.

'Go to deal' gives me $49 for a lifetime license 'update'.

                @rainynight65: Ahhh …

I see the confusion now. My bad. I missed outr the word 'more'. It should have been 'when for US$10 more you can get a lifetime license?'

I'll leave my mistake for all too see, otherwise the replies won't make sense.
