Out of curiosity what was your initial concern with call quality? I thought the APP’s were widely regarded as one of the best earbuds for calls.

Yeah, cept in ears all have wildly different reports.
Eg some people swear by
*galaxy buds
*wf100mx4
*jabra 65/75t
*airpod/appBut then you also see a lot of reports of issues of not being able to be heard/heard clearly with all of above.
To be honest if stock wasn’t such a major issue I woulda went mark 4 Sony but kinda glad it all worked out.
Fair enough. I must have watched and read 100 reviews before deciding on the APP’s or XM4’s but nearly all of them had the APP’s at the very top for call quality.
I tried both personally and the XM4’s had absolutely nothing on the APP’s for calls. Music and ANC were another matter though.
Each to their own of course.
@ElectrkJonesy777: Yeah I feel anc not as good as my Sony mark 3s but I had nothing but issues for voice calls with them.
In my experience you won’t get better call quality and noise cancellation on a call that’s the APP. The sound quality is very good but It’s not all roses though. The fitment is the worst ever for me. The AirPods 1/2 fit me great I even used to box with them on. The APP fall out sometimes even on something as simple as me chewing on lunch or yawning.
Importantly new buyers be aware the new ones are about to drop - should be better.

Unlikely. The AirPods 3 are heavily rumoured this year with the AirPods Pro 2 not expected until sometime in 2022.
They've been cheaper before, i.e. close to $200.

I’d imagine improved audio (music) and ANC and battery as you mentioned. I’d love to see the addition of something like Sony’s speak-to-chat, that’s such a QoL feature.
Software wise , conversation boost is around the corner with ios15, which takes into account direction of speaker. That’s pretty cool.
Rumours are they’re going for a stemless design much like everyone else. Battery could definitely be improved, I have day 1 airpods pro (yep paid the full $399), and it really isn’t enough for full work day teams calls or multi-episode bingeing on apple tv anymore without recharging during breaks, looking forward to see what they they do

These are good. Seriously good. The only downside for me was that they would slip out of my ear when I worked out. I fixed that by purchasing some memory foam tips from AliExpress.
Are they that much better with the memory foam tips? I have the same problem and they even slightly hurt my ears (not as much as when I first got them though, they HURT). They’re like $50 on Amazon and jb hifi and don’t really wanna pay that. Is AliExpress a good option?
I found the most reliable way for workouts was to flip them upside down and use right in left ear and left in right ear. It fit perfectly within ear and never came out. Not ideal for phone calls or spatial audio as it flips the audio.

Very good for the price. Been using a pair since last year. Battery life is my only concern. Doesn’t last more than 4 hours. I use them while sleeping so not a big concern but would like to see battery life improved in the next version. My buds plus still last more than 10 hours even after almost 1.5 years of use.

SoundPEATS are fantastic value for money but last time I checked (this model in particular) there was no ANC, no transparency mode, no quick switching between devices.

Called the customer service to check my order yesterday and got forced to leave my number by the automated voice so somebody would call back at my turn. Well, a few hours later no call back and instead received the email of the order cancelation. Not good.

My order was cancelled and I jumped on this deal before deal was popular. This is my first Centrecom purchase and it will certainly be the last.
Placed order 22/08, received a cancellation message on Friday (27/08) and was advised to leave bank details as this is the payment method I used. After following up with them, received an email to say a refund will be processed today and payment should clear within 5 business days.

Very good price. The going price has been floating around $296 for quite some time now with jb. Amazon and Officeworks. Was worried about mic quality on these for phone calls in and outside but happy to report no issues so far.
Spatial audio I think is bloody awesome.
