    • You can cancel Foxtel now at anytime , no contract for this deal

      • I think they meant they couldn't justify paying 49 for 12 months of Foxtel, not 49 a month for 12 months.

  • +2

Kayo is $25 a month itself, Binge is another $14. I cannot seem to find any $5 a month Kayo or free 6 months binge. So its not that bad a deal for the extra content.
if you dont need the sport, then its a major rip off. Otherwise not that bad.

  • +2

This is not a bargain by any measure if you compare it to their competitors.

  • When I go to add all packs it keeps saying $104. Has anybody actually got this to work?

  • +2

Lol I read it as 49 for 12 months and was still hesitant to sign up with them….

  • Does anyone have the offer code for this ?

For the last couple of these offers if you are already a subscriber you could apply it if you knew the offer code …

  • not working for me… tried to clean cookies, use mobile data..

  • +2

Agreed it's cheaper than normal, but I'll refuse to pay Foxtel anything as they're dinosaurs refusing to adapt to streaming prices.

  • Kinda tempted on this one cause it has sport but Binge is more than enough for entertainment

  • +6

Paying $49 for ads and supporting the Murdochs? Yeah nah

  • +4

anything that lines the pockets of Rupert Murdoch gets a neg from me. a maggot so unscrupulous even one of his own sons left the company

  • the link won't work for me anymore? anyone facing the same issue?

    • did you end up sorting it? Mine just took me to a $25 a month offer.

      • Nope. Spoke to their customer support who was useless. Apparently they're going to 'look into it' for me and get back to me

        • +1

Ive spent way too much time on it. First told to do their free trial and change the package to this offer in the settings. When they weren't an option, I had to chat to them again to be told this offer is targeted and I'm ineligible.

so, shoul've listened to the masses, avoided foxhell and saved my time.

Hope this saves you some time.

@gailson7869: Thanks mate, bloody sucks. Its not even that good of a deal and they still wont honor it haha - was going to split it with my dad to make it worth while.

  • +1

Nice one for those interested but the content on Foxtel now is terrible for the price. Unless you are into sport. I had the 1 month trial and cancelled after a week.

If they brought their pricing into line with just about every streaming service on earth it might be worthwhile, just my $0.02 worth.

  • +3

there is no value here. 100% of the competitive landscape have a better service. even if you were set on getting this service, its better to get a 12 month phone plan that includes it free

  • +1

beware of foxtel as they charge your credit card amounts without authorisation and then wont refund.
    very dodgy conpany
    beware

I paid in full for stan with a member, logged out and cant find the login or password. If anyone has a shared account with El Nino in the names, please let me know :)

  • +2

Foxtel has always been a rip. Nothing about this changes that.

  • +1

like everyone else has said - still a rip…unless the sports do it for ya

  • +2

Paying such a premium to watch ads? Yeah, nah.

  • +2

$49 per month with access to streaming services at a cheaper price point nullifies the promo. Also just disconnected the service - when it rains it cuts out so it was a horrible experience.

  • Can't get it to work

    • It's offering me the pop lifestyle deal for $25 per month

      • Did you call them and get it?

  • anyone get this working?

  • Told by their customer service that this is only if you received an email. Not for just anyone. If anyone cares still that is….

  • I actually was on the previous cheap OzBargain deal, and then cancelled it when the promo ended.
Today I got a text message from foxtel with a $25 per month deal for all packages for 12 months.

    • I got the same offer contacted Foxtel and they said the offer doesn't exist. Also they said they don't send text messages only emails.

      • yes I got the $25 for all text yesterday as well. It lined up with all other texts from Foxtel they sent months ago-so they do send texts.

  • Is major sport (thinking NRL and cricket mainly) available on demand, or only available as it is broadcast on their linear channels?

  • +1

I got a test from foxtel now yesterday for all packs all channels for 12 months for $25 for closed accounts. I closed my foxtel around 2 months ago. I clicked the link and had to sign into my closed account but it only allowed me 3 months at $25 and not all packs. Anyone else experience this ?

  • -1

Update. Just read through and the link from the text now has this at the bottom of it

CORRECTION: We recently sent an SMS to selected customers that contained incorrect offer details. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you wish to take up our Foxtel Now offer, the correct details are below.

    Dogs !

They should be made to go the offer

Well they just lost my $25.

  • Did anyone actually manage to get this deal?

I know more than a few that were less than keen

  • Similar experience to those above, the link seems to go through to the $49 promo but when I clickthrough no offer materialises. Has anybody been able to redeem it?

  • Fuxtel sucks. Ads and the movies are in PAL, complete with 4% pitch/speed increase. No thanks.

  • I don’t think anyone got the offer,

  • I had the same experience as others, first person I contacted said I could have the offer and he was escalating it, haven't heard anything, so I checked in with their chat again today, was pretty much told that even though it said new customers only, it was only for existing customers… when I questioned the logic, I was promptly told I wasn't getting the offer, and they actually ended the chat while I was mid message back to them… disgusting customer service!

Second person I got onto apologised and escalated it again, I'm not holding my breathe though… I would have thought a customer is a customer, it doesn't matter where they come from, at least a new customer isn't going to be cancelling an existing residential plan once they sign up to this…

  • Damn I missed this. Would have jumped at it.
