The charging dock is totally a disaster. It is difficult to find a proper location.

    • I got one myself - what's so bad about the charging dock? I would probably just move my existing mouse bungee and replace it with the dock.

      • +10

I got one too. It looks good at the beginning, but the charging points may become oxidized less than half a year and make it difficult to find a proper location. I searched online and it seems to be a common problem.

        • Appreciate the feedback mate. I'll probably use this Viper Ultimate alongside my existing G Pro Wireless. Let's see how we go with it.

        • Mine was the same, first hard to find the contact point, then it stopped working at all.

        • +1

Yep, I've had the cable permanently connected to my Viper for the past year due to this. It became too annoying to log in to work most mornings only to find my mouse had 2% power remaining, I gave up and just left it cabled.

          • @sidesw1pe: I did that; but the cable deteriorates as well. Especially if you swap between the dock and the mouse. I then ended up with a dock that doesn't work and the cable not working either. It's now in a cupboard at the moment. Keep telling myself to replace the cable; but couldn't be bothered finding one (custom groove on the cable).

      New version is ok.

    • Agree about the charging dock, mine stopped charging after a few months. Changed it and got the basilisk ultimate instead

    • +1

I take a q-tip with a bit of contact cleaner and clean the metal connectors on both the dock & mice once in a while.

Seems to make finding the charging sweet-spot a non-issue for me.

    • +2

I've got one and I've never had a single problem.

    • lol rubbish, works fine.

  • +3

Wow unbelievable price even comes with the dock! Thanks I just ordered.

    • Nice…I should have paid the $2 for express shipping though :(

      • cancel and order again? or msg them and ask?

        • +2

It looks like this was a pricing error it's back up to $199. Hopefully our orders don't get cancelled.

          • +1

@ertert: Potentially, let's see if Catch fulfils it. I think the $98 offer was legit, since $199 is the price offered by Bing Lee (it's just sold on Catch). It's probably back up to $199 since Catch's stock is gone and the next seller is Bing Lee.

      • +1

Don’t cancel and order again the site said only 20 left. Too risky!

  • This is a deal that looks almost too good to be true.

    Thanks OP. Snagged myself one.

    • That's exactly what I thought!!!

  • +1

    Crazy price, already have one.

  • Only 20 left order fast! And ty got one!

  • +1

number of flaws but only 98 with chraging dock is preety cracker price tbh

  • Was 98… refresh $199…

    • Catch's stock is all gone and next cheapest seller is Bing Lee @ 199. Thanks @currentfad

  • $199 now. Looks like price error fixed.

    • +3

No it's because Catch's stock is all gone and next cheapest seller is Bing Lee @ 199

Paid 170 for it last year so this is a great price.

Just note the charger is a piece of shit. Works for a bit and then it doesn't charge properly because the mouse keeps falling down (since it's sloped). Mine only charges if I use something to push the mouse up and keep it in place. Otherwise, you have to attach the cable from the dock to the mouse to charge.

    • I don't know why people shit on the charger so much, maybe I just got a good unit. I've never had a single problem with mine.

      • I guess I got a dodgy one but when I checked online, it seemed to happen pretty frequently to others too.

Slightly biased probably as I've just had a crap experience with Razer overall. Got their blackwidow v3 pro wireless keyboard, and the 'y' key double types after 3 months. Replaced it with a Keychron and the keyboard is now just collecting dust. Then got their mouse and doesn't charge properly.

"I don't know why people shit on the charger so much"
Uh, because they have a reason to shit on it, maybe?

      • I've had mine for about 10 months now. Only issue I have is that sometimes even when the mouse is mounted properly, the charging doesn't begin. I need to wiggle it around a bit for it to start.

I found that getting rid of the dust and cleaning the mouse helps a lot. It's now working fine.

    • +1

Falling down because it's sloped? Mine is magnetised when docked with charging port, so no issues on that.
Or maybe that's a version 1 issue that was subsequently improved due to feedback.

  • Sorry, Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse w/ Charging Dock is sold out. on checkout…….

  • Damn, $199 now - missed it!

  • +1

Maybe price error… congrats for those who manage to get one

  • +2

Not sure if this is related to the security issue?

  • This is an insane price!! I bought this mouse for $169 on a Microsoft deal about a year ago :)

  • 21 left at $199, nice, let's grab 1, ….. oh wait … ~.~

  • Best mouse and best price!

After years of logitech mice this was a breath of fresh air, so light and responsive and RGB!

  • The plastic on this mouse is quite cheap, developed a crack across the palm area in less than 1.5 years but I guess it saves on weight.

  • nooo
