The actual Pepsi syrup seems the same as the old Cola syrup. Really tastes nothing like the real deal.

I like Mirinda orange taste.
100ml 96% ethanol, top up with water to 800 ml mark, carbonate by 5 presses, and top up with a full cap of mirinda syrup. Put it in a freezer for some time to cool, or pour over ice. Give a nice crisp taste and kick in quickly.

Just passing on a review regarding these bottles.
BEWARE: They do not fit all Sodastream units.
Nothing wrong with the bottles but did not realise when I purchased them that they don't fit on all Sodastream units so we cannot actually use them.
Guess someone didn't read the fine print:
Take out the black holder at the base and they will fit otherwise you can post to Sodastream with your receipt and they will replace with the correct sized bottles for you. They get heaps of complaints as the model is only written inside the back where the gas canister sits.
Thanks for the comment. I ordered 2 and won't fit on the jet, have a question, as you mentioned that you sent it for exchange, did you need to contact their customer service? I'm hoping they cover postage as well if they're changing the size, if not just adding to the cost of buying it on special
We spoke to them on the phone. You cover postage to them. We ended up picking up another sodastream machine for free on gumtree. We have a pair of bottles that fit now and two that don't. The ones that don't fit are a bit tall so we remove the black bit in the base and then they fit and the gas button then works.

Not compatible with mine, SodaStream Jet it seems. But can remove the bottom part as commenter above said so maybe not that bad

My sodastream source bottles are fine in the dishwasher. Even on the hottest setting (65 degrees). However pouring boiling water into them warps them slightly.
Try removing the bit the bottle sits on in the machine as when we do that there is enough height clearance for the non-fitting bottle and the gas button works.

Not de-gas completely but yes overtime I find. You might want to look into the 500ml smaller-sized bottles.
yeah, not completely, but its a pretty weak fizz. relatively new bottle.
I feel like the lid on the bottle loosens over time and the seal degrades leading to it to lose carbonation faster. Have been using the same bottle for over a year now and its generally ok for a few days
Over a week yes, less than that only time they de-gas that quickly for me is when the gas canister needs to be changed. Usually lasts at least 4-5 days before going flat.
