    Inkjet, pass…
Fork out a bit more for a Laser, longer lasting and cheaper in the long run.

    • Do you have a recommendation for a colour laser printer. I have been searching for one but can't seem to find any decent one in stock.

      • Not OP, but if you're after an A3 Multifunction (like this model), I wouldn't bother, hard to justify the $$$ for an A3 Laser Multifunction

        • Just after an A4 colour laser. Similar to HL-L3270CDW. Don't really need an MFC.

        Brother MFC-L2730DW

Havn't used this exact one, but my similar old brother laser is still going strong

        • +1

I have the same and it is going very strong. It has been very helpful during the lockdown and kids studying from home. One of the most used functions is to scan directly to an email.

Got the Brother MFC-L3745C. Had it for around a year now, done a fair bit of printing, still have around 50% of the in box toner left. Never missed a beat, just a little bulky. It's not A3, but I've never needed to print A3.

I have the same one. Got it a year ago. Happy with it.

              It comes up with

A different delivery method may be suitable..

So you need to select ShipIt.

That's because they can't get stock into the country.

        Here's Brother's official statement.

        https://www.brother.com.au/en/about/news/2021/stock-availabi…

        TLDR:
        1) Global Shortage of semiconductors (same reason Toyota in Japan has cut production by 40%)
        2) Shortage of ships & containers coming to Oz (so they're air freighting high margin stuff like consumerables).

In a BBC interview the other day they were saying the semiconductor shortage is expected for another 18 - 24 mths! Intel reckon it'll get worse as the year goes on.

    • would like to know as well. need a laser printer

    • Which one would you recommend which is Laser with photocopy function only?

  • Ink seems to really cheap for this model! Good find OP!

For people who have Good Guys Commercial access you can get the Brother Wireless A3 Inkjet MFC Printer - MFC-J6530DW for $193.

  • For those considering getting a printer for those pesky companies that require a “wet signature”. Save yourself a few hundred and use this. https://www.scanyourpdf.com/ - I’ve been using this during lockdown for any “wet signature” requirements, and has been working great.

Share your private info including your signature with an unknown website? Yeah nah

      • But it's Free!!!!!

      • +1

It's open source and the source code is linked on the site… but enjoy that tin foil hat mate

If there's a A4 ink tank version of this without the pointless fax option that's cheaper I could really go for one of those.
