These are great for those who aren't driving much in lockdown. I've already got one and been using it every 2-3 weeks just put it on the battery terminals over night (don't have to remove battery), as I'm only doing the odd trip to the shops. Much better to do this than idle a car for a while (which may not properly charge it), or going on pointless longer drives. Can extend the battery life by a lot given car batteries don't like to sit at half-charge - this accelerates their wear. If you only say do a 5 min drive to shops and back, that's 2x cranks of the engine, which the 10min drive will not be sufficient to replenish the battery again.

$115 is peace of mind knowing your battery not going flat in the garage and giving you a few extra years of life to your battery!

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2021.

  • I had one of these and the MXS10 for a few years and still going great besides the Mode button doesnt seem to want to work any more, so one is stuck on the AGM battery.

Just open the case and spray the switch with contact cleaner.

    • That's happened to mine. Didn't take long to stop working at all.

    • did you try a warranty claim?

      • No its over 5 years old.

I got this pack a year or two ago, the indicator in the connector stopped working within probably 3-6 months. Portable charger is a bit of a novelty and somewhat bulky for the capacity. If I was buying again, I'd just get the normal kit under $100

It's got a long warranty so if any issues like above, just claim on warranty.
