STEALTH601

Hi all. I jumped onto revhigh.com.au to buy a throttle controller as they are $100 off at the moment. Then I saw a banner on their main page giving an extra $60 off with the above code. Bought the price down to $190 with free postage. Cheap enough to grab one to try out. Reviews are positive. These look a bit more high tech and have a better appearance than the Windbooster and Mace alternatives. Lets see how it goes.

  • I'd like to note as well,
Discount suspension and Timing chains also.

Seems to be a pretty good sale.

  • Looks good. Cheaper than the EVC idrive throttle controllers were at Repco the other day. Also looks like it has more options and features since it can connect to OBDII as well to act as a throttle booster. Claims to be 20% more responsive than idrive, etc.

The winch/jumpstart idle booster mode might come in handy for 4x4 as well.

Was considering an EVC but I will give this a go since it is cheaper. Hopefully it will help with the Diesel lag in the old Pathfinder.

    • Unless this is an updated model, looks like it's exactly the same model i have though, the only reason it connects to obd is for additional power for the unit, it doesn't function with out it either.

      • On the provided link (https://www.revhigh.com.au/all-brand-stealth-throttle-contro…) it says:
"Without the OBD2 port plugged in" where it functions like the simpler throttle controllers where it only adjusts the throttle sensitivity (but is 10% more responsive than the Chinese models).
"With the OBD2 port plugged in" it is able to boost the signal to open the throttle body faster (throttle booster). Other units that don't use OBD2 can't open the throttle body faster.

So it sounds like you can use it with or without OBD2. Without OBD2 it acts as a "throttle controller" and with OBD2 plugged in it acts as a "throttle booster".

        • Ah, yeah sorry my bad, was on my phone earlier and the page wasn't loading properly, didn't see the Sep 2020 update picture with all the extra features.
