  • Thanks OP, ordered one.

  • Dumb question. But the 2 channel one has front and rear yes? That’s the only difference? Seems better value

    • Depends if you need / want a rear camera

    • Yes

  • Hey, I'm new to dash cams. Sorry if this is a dumb question but is there any dash cam that operate on battery charge? thanks.

    • What di you mean? You can hook up a separate battery/power pack for any dash cam really. Its placed between the camera and your car battery. I have a power magic pro hooked up. The 750x seems to have this integrated (?) by the looks of it?

      • Yup integrated on 750x. I like having a physical switch though.

        • You can buy a power magic pro and it will stop the integrated feature.

      • The DR750X series BlackVue dash cams are just wired differently, and operate via the car battery instead of an individual power pack.

They detect the car battery voltage and power off automatically before it drops too low.

  • Can you buy a 32gb blackvue and just add a larger card or are they locked to the sizes they advertise? Looking at the 900x but they are exxie.

    • Yes you can buy a larger card

Thanks OP, picked up a Nextbase 222. Good value for $140.

Cant work out why anyone would pay $321 for a dashcam when the Blueskysea B1W does pretty much everything you'd want at $80
I bought after noting it ranked very highly in the latest Choice comparison. I ended up getting another one for our second car.

    • Fair question. I was going through the review reviews in amazon.com.au and looks like a lot of positive reviews.

    • Remember… "Oils ain't Oils."
Without even going further into other differences, the first thing I would really love to see is exactly how their image sensor stacks up against the Sony sensor in the later model Blackvue. (Which I must say, it took Pittasoft and Thinkware a while to catch up to DOD in using Sony sensors.)

  • Thanks. Got myself the 2 channel.

Anyone who got the black view 750, can you tell me about the power lead?
Does it have a USB connection, what type of connection is it to the camera itself.
My new Ranger has a USB socket near the rear vision mirror, so easier to plug in there…
….I know the older blackviews have a specialised connector and the cable needs to go to a cigarette lighter socket.
