  • I've got this mower, loved how it comes 2X5AH battery and a charger to complement my other DeWalt tools . if I bought these batteries and charger alone, they cost around 400 . Good deal IMO .

    I have one.
The mower works surprisingly well, on well maintained lawns.
I get about 20-30 mins from two 5Ah batteries, I then use two 6Ah to finish the mowing.
Quieter than my old four stroke and no oil/petrol/fumes.

    *** Caveat ***
Be aware that the main drive pulley driving the blade shaft is ABS plastic, if the mower is heavily loaded (eg wet/green long grass) the belt may slip, causing heat and permanently deforming this pulley, causing the belt to disengage. This is covered under warranty but takes 4-6 weeks to repair.
It would have been a much better design with an aluminium or steel pulley.
Keep this in mind when mowing, I can't really say if Dewalt is alone in this respect.

Still happy with mine so far as I picked it up used with no batteries and the above fault from Bunnings for $200.

    • Thanks for the info, was keen until battery only lasts 30min, wish it has ~15min more then it would be perfect for me

      • Check out the Ego kit which comes with 7.5ah battery.
Big step up in quality, although a bit more $$$

    • Great info. Thanks

    • The mower works surprisingly well, on well maintained lawns.

Seems to be a common point with these battery mowers. What do you consider well maintained… mowed every week in Spring?

Zoom in top one is the kit $209

    • That was the mower kit with 6ah batteries and was a clearance item at the end of last yr. U got a awesome deal considering they were rrp of over $800 before multiple price drops to clear them out.

Notice the ticket price and the price I asked to pay I ended up with 5 I think my brother uses one

    • Yeah, Bunnings sometimes is being in the right place at the right time.

  • There is s a newer model that's been released in the USA since to the start of to the year, here's the link for it but it's unavailable. I know not helpful.

Maybe this is finally coming to Oz, so the tool shops are selling stock
Just letting go you go it's know as it gets good reviews and they say it's a big improvement

  • Dual batteries but single charger has got to be annoying, not too hard to include a dual charger Dewalt!

Makita specs theirs with the dual chargers.

  • I have one of these mowers and really like it. However IMO the supplied batteries are just too small (especially if you have a bigger yard).

I use the flexivolt 54v 9AH batteries (which I already had for my Dewalt chainsaw which is also brilliant).

Thing is, if you wanted to buy the mower and 2x 54v batteries it’s too expensive but if you happen to have the batteries for something else it’s a really good option.
