Well at least it doesn't look like Bezos's space toy.

    Well it's about damned time!

I'm sick to my back teeth of having to make all my samosas the old fashioned way.

    Whatever that is…

    • +9

Looks like a renamed sandwich press

      • yep, you can make samosas in a sandwich press already …..just depends on what filling you use and what you decide to call it ….benefit of sandwich press is it’s square so less pastry wasted if you buy frozen pastry as square sheets.

I'm sick to my back teeth of having to make all my samosas the old fashioned way.

The old fashioned way: driving down to the local Indian joint and asking for "six samosas to take away, please".

In fact the bloke with the turban in my local Indian joint knows that's exactly what I'd ask for, and he starts putting it all in a bag the minute he sees me walk in. And he knows to make those truly mean samosas that I keep going back for.

      • Nice one

      • +2

Mate its quite hard to find good Samosa’s..
Most restaurants just re-fry frozen ones.

What is this place that you buy them from ?

        • +1

Haha, truth be told I'd never be able to tell if a samosa is a refried frozen one or not. I get mine at the Taj Mahal restaurant outside Clayton station.

          • @CocaKoala: Ohh damn, I have driven past them a countless times..
            I’ll try them next time
            Thanks btw

It’s like saying airfryer is a samosa maker

      • Lol. That's what it sounded like. Good try naming it though, Kmart!

Thats about as useful as tits on a bull

    • +16

Tits on a bull would be useful. As a father, I felt useless at times, not being able to feed my son.

  • Saw it instore the other day, its pretty small

    waste of money for sure.
There is a reason indians buy premade

  • +3

One word for this..blasphemy. Samosas are best deep fried in ghee.

    • very true , but the price of butter and ghee has gone up a lot over the past 3 years …..now i just keep butter for my baguettes and sour dough bread and making toasted sandwiches ……

  • +3

    Samosa? I hardley met her

Click collect should be free now when you actually can't go in physically and pick it up from the shelf yourself and take it to the counter 🙄

Actually I've got an idea, buy 2, free c and c, return 1 straight away. Got 1 without c and c as things should be 👍

    Dammit!

I logged on this morning looking for a Mimosa Maker.

So close and yet so far…

Samosas are deep fried. This isn't right

    • +1

so are chips, should be deep fried , but hey, if you are single you need that slim body if you want to find a partner who is also slim ……

      • +1

Did that already, now we’re enjoying getting chubby together!

  • +6

Would look great on my vast bench top that already has, sandwich press, sandwich maker, pier maker, waffle maker, churros maker.

    • sandwich press and waffle maker are indispensable… think i’m missing the pie maker and churros maker ……like pokémon, collect em all.

  • Hexa-jaffle!

Nice try Kmart but not this time

  • +1

I remember those giant Samosas sold at most of the kiosks in the London underground. Cost £1/- about 15 years rs ago when I last lived there.

    They were a great snack/meal.

  • +2

I was watching TV and wanted a snack, samosa I'll make myself one. Mic drop.

  • +6

Please dont buy these.. No good samosa will ever come out of this thing, i imagine most people will have this end up in landfill.

    • I see those anti-samosa society creeps got to you too…

  • They are closed to the public here in Vic, won't let you walk in to buy stuff. Make you purchase online and then charge you a click and collect fee for their trouble? Nah… Thats reason enough for me not to purchase anything through them until they open up again.

  • What does c&c stand for

    • +4

      curry and chips.

  • +4

I was looking for something to slot in to the space amongst my various sandwich, waffle, rice, smoothie, coffee, juice, and ice cream makers.
