          Promoted is the "word" IF your a yes man, being a No/maybe straight, male, white, Australian and good at your job then NO. As to a Doctor getting paid less really maybe in their 1st year after that they earn way way more. I know best friend left force and became a Doctor.

          All my prospective promotions stopped April 9th 2006 2.31am , when hit by a stolen car @ 160kmh on my police motorcycle heading home, injuries but more importantly psychological treatment killed all chances of promotion.

          Oh by the way that Doctor in emergency you speak of has treated me more times than you can imagine

        I am not surprised, considering that even the field that are related but not directly related (psychologists and mental health care services in general) are becoming overstretched from what I have heard.

        Granted, I think mental health services always have needed more clinicians, but with COVID-19, it has affected everyone throughout.

        I have heard that in NSW, a lot of psychologists simply cannot take more patients in and have stopped accepting new patients for that reason. Even then, the wait time is long.

    Contact tracer. With the changes in NSW, have contract tracers found that cases are lying through their noses and it's just not worthwhile spending ages trying to get to the bottom of things? Obviously, there's also been a surge in cases.
