I just bought a 42" for my dog so I know these prices fairly well.

    Where is the bargain OP?

Kmart also have the same series (unbranded) even cheaper - $32 for the 30" or $59 for the 42"

I commend you if you managed to get anyone to ever pay $85.95 for it; they must have zero ability to search any form of shopping site.

I hope you don't have pets and if so I really feel sorry for them.

You do realise without a crate you can't take your cat to 99% of vets out there right?
You do realise without a crate you really can't really take your doggo/cat with you holidaying around Australia (certainly not overseas given covid).

There are plenty of reasons to have crates for pets; particularly if you have more than one of them.

I'd crate my kids if I could; but society frowns on that. I will put them in a hardness when they go to the park though - hate them running up and doing terrible greetings to other bipedals.

      • @MorriJ,

I agree with Wayne, yet you've twisted his reply with the use case of a "Cage" into "Crate" for travel etc.. Two completely different things.

        • Why is Wayne talking about cages then? This post was for crates. Why the neg from him if he doesn't like cages; this is for crates.

I think you misunderstand Wayne's explanation - he negged a crate deal as he doesn't think any pet that needs to be "crated" is a pet.

Funny as this is the title of the post

            I.pet 24inch Pet Cage - Black $39.99 Delivered @ QH Australia

            • @Bunsen:

              this is why

Nope, he negged the deal for the crate as it is a cage. You again misunderstood what I wrote. I was referring to the fact he negged the deal purely as he doesn't think pets that need crates are pets.

He clicked the big red - on this deal, not my comment, the deal. That is why I replied to him originally as I think it is absurd that if you think a pet needs a crate that they aren't pets.

He doesn't like crates as they are "cages" in his words. He negged the deal - the community revoked said negative on deal. I couldn't care less why someone negs my comments; I did question why he was negging the deal on "morality" grounds as crates being bad and all.

I think you misunderstand a lot of what you read Bunsen, but keep up the support for people who have an issue with pet crates. I'm sure the world will be a better place.

It's literally a pet crate. Google "pet crate". Stop confudlling pet crates and pet cages.

              • @MorriJ: Where is the word 'Crate' mentioned in OP's deal, or Wayne's response?

The 'Community' doesn't revoke negs, Mods do.

I'm also pretty certain that Wayne is referring to the fact that 'Pets' shouldn't be in a cage - Full Stop..

                • @Bunsen:

The 'Community' doesn't revoke negs, Mods do.

                  FYI:

                  Guidelines

                  When negative votes are revoked:

                  • The community casts a number of negative comment votes to any comment by the user casting the deal votes.

                  • A moderator deems your vote to be invalid as it doesn't conform to voting guidelines (see below for a list of inappropriate negative votes that moderators will revoke).

The user gave their reason for the negative vote, it's up to the community to decide. Moderators only revoke negative votes where no reason is given or for something that should be reported, see here for a list and more details.

                  • @hamza23: OK, I'll gladly admit my statement was incorrect re. revoking said neg vote.

I use crates so my dogs can sleep safely and warmly inside, but I guess I'll throw the crates out and let them freeze to death outside at night in 0 degree Alpine temperatures instead. Thank you for clarifying what being a good pet owner is.
