  • how is this one compares with xiaomi?

  • Cheaper version on aliexpress (the brand is lymax): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003150010233.html

    • +1

      colour showing as $84AUD

    • I'll be waiting for a deal on this one!

    • +1

Store has 80% positivity rate, & lack of reviews… What your experience with them?

    • Specs seem the same probably a generic version from the same factory, and I think Blitzwolf mostly sells rebranded things anyway (not that their products are bad). I'll be waiting too see how this one pans out.

      • +1

I believe both products are identical, it's just the blitz wolf one has tacky branding on the front that I'm not a fan of!

    • +1

At least this posting shows how the 1000R light fits on a 1500R monitor.

  • I bought the straight one and I'm very happy with it :)

I've got a Dell 34ultrawide and it works fine

    • +1

Stupid me just bought a straight one then saw this. I've got an ultrawide curved monitor….

      • Its fine, even the curved one doesn't fully match the curvature of the monitor by the looks of the pictures

        • The picture with the ASUS monitor doesn't do it justice. Check the video it pretty much matches the 1500R Curvature of the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 34" Curved Gaming Monitor perfectly.

          • @adr8: Fair enough, depends on the curvature of the monitor you have.
My monitors are 1800R and probably would look similar to what's shown on the pic

        • +1

So I got my straight Blitzwolf today and it sits nicely on top of my 34" ultrawide curved Xiaomi. It seems like it may be even sturdier than a curved light bar would be since the 2 corners resting on the monitor (due to curvature) actually seem to stabilize it. No reflection or whatsoever, and doesn't look awkward at all.

  • Has anyone ordered from Banggood lately? How are we looking at shipping? It says 14sept but can I trust that date?

    • Yep. Got that soldering iron from a recent deal about a week ago. Really quick shipping.

  • +2

This would've been great if it wasn't for the tacky branding on the front of the bar!

  • Are these light bars intended to be a decent replacement a desk light?

  • +2

I'd flag that this might actually not be good for the 34" Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor.

Reason being that these have a curvature of R1000, while the 34" Xiaomi has a curvature of R1500. So when you stick this on top the two curves won't match. Maybe not a big deal, but thought I'd mention it.

    • +1

I've got the Benq light bar sitting on my Dell U3818DW and it works perfectly, so a slight difference in curvature shouldn't make much of a difference.

It's the sheer size of this one that kills it for me. I think I'll stick with my sleek light bar for now, although I would like a little extra colour!

But I'd love to know how they manage to get that much light behind the lower part of the monitor. Looks to be a little bit too much Photoshop to me…

      • I agree. Before you said that I thought there were lights pointing at the wall but they only point up for RBG and down for white. Where is all that light supposed to be coming from?

        • The magical powers of PS, me thinks! :-)

I thought it looked odd at first, and after carefully examining all the pictures, I realised that to get the RGB on the wall, you have to adjust the vertical tilt so some of the light goes back to the wall. But it would be a very tiny amount on the wall. The whole purpose of light bars are to light up your keyboard area, not have a light shining in your face (which would likely be the result of that vertical adjustment).

I have a Philips Hue light strip running alongside the back edge of my desk, so I'll stick with that and my current Benq set up.

  • I wish there was one with a curve of 1800R to match my monitor

  • +1

I'm going to say it. These light bars are overrated.

  • Does that fit OLED monitor? panel is really thin…

  • I was tossing between BlitzWolf CLM3 ($46) and Yeelight ($96). for my 34" xiaomi ultrawide.

This seems promising. Only down side is the rgb is top facing as opposed to rear facing. Kind of a deal breaker for me.

    • Also, kind of pointless.

  • Would this still work on 1000R (Samsung G9)

  • I want 2 of light bar when its on really good price. wondering how 2 curved light bar in one monitor would looks like?

    • +1

But why? I have BenQ screen bar on my Xiaomi 34" and it works just fine with a single unit.

Having two units would make it too bright

    • +1

I have the Benq on my 38" Dell UW and it's perfectly adequate. Two would be overkill, and unless you had a monitor >38" the two lights would likely be hanging over the sides of the monitor.

      • correct

  • Banggood is scambags, took a deposit for one of the deals, never communicated back to pay the rest and now saying sale is ended and deposit is not refundable. Avoid.

  • Has anyone actually received their units yet? The tracking number they provided seems to be invalid?
