Western Digital 250GB Passport External HDD, 3 year warranty? $119 (was $93)

150

"11 eye catching colours … USB powered … 128 bit encryption … Google software so you can search your drive"

Noslee said something about 3 year warranty for WD Passport External HDDs on this other offer … I haven't confirmed

MLN is in Victoria. But if you are interstate they can post to you. Cacbm found it was $6 to post this other drive from them.

I think you can print it out and bring it to Officeworks and get an extra 5% off the price too, as an alternative. If you are interstate, you might need to add shipping. Still, it's a big improvement on the Officeworks price. :)

Good luck with it everyone.

(To confirm: I do not work for MLN. I just looked at their adverts recently)

Note 1: Bargain started at $93 but price has now gone up to $119.

  • Good Deal! Question is.. should I hold off till the next price drop?

    • :) :) :) The age old question. Makes me wonder, do you even … need …. it :) or are you just tempted? :) :) :) (I'm tempted … but really should just finish some video projects and tidy up my hard drive)

  • Good one.

  • thank you! I think I'll get one from Officeworks… I didn't know they would price match and given an extra 5% off, thank you for sharing!

    • Aww :) You're welcome. It's nice to get thanks and know people are benefitting. :)

  • I rang MLN, verified that these WD drive are the superseded models, hence WD passport, not WD My passport, and only in pink colour, good for ladies. I don't know the exact differences between the old passport and the newer My passport, but I assume newer is better in the tech world. And you'll have to be lucky to get them matched in OfficeWorks.

    • Thanks Noslee :) Not sure what the difference is between the two versions … whether the old version will meet people's requirements or not …

      • Also, just checked the Officeworks website. They are selling the WD External Passport for $129 (also not advertised as My passport) :)

        • Hmm …

if they only have pink stock left and you don't want pink …

ring an Officeworks to see if they have other colours …

then visit with the print out and get a different colour …

          and maybe a 5% extra discount :)

      • Don't get me wrong, I bought a WD passport 60GB about a year ago, It never fails, but thought to let you all know what exactly you are getting from MLN (they used the new My Passport for their graphics), This is what MLN is selling but in 250GB, so it is great value.

Good luck guys with OfficeWorks, please post back if you guys are successful with matching because I would want one too.

  • Me three regards OW price match. There's an OW across the road from work (BrisVegas CBD).. Much closer to me than Melbourne…

    Cheers,
    Live Long and Prosper.

  • has the price gone up? i only see $119…

    • Thanks for picking that up. Regrettably you are right. The price is no longer $93 … :(

  • Guys, I matched it in OW during lunch and got their WD "My Passport Essential" in Racing Red for $94. OW calculates their 5% discount from the total cost including shipping since I am in Sydney. so $93 + $6 and 5% off. You could still get the 160GB version MLN selling for $69 http://www.mln.com.au/product/?itemID=518&typeID=22, still good in value. Lucky me, thanks foundit.
