Bose QuietComfort Buds $289 Delivered @ Myer

170

Been looking for earphones and researching alternatives to the sony wf1000xm4s. These seem to get pretty good reviews at a slightly lower price point.

    • Is it bad?

      • Sounds good to me

  • for that money just get the Airpod Pros - i had bose buds like this but i mean they were just not as easy to use and as comfortable as the Airpod Pros - and the noise cancelling on the Airpod Pros is awesome.

Apples and oranges in my opinion
Bose has it's unique offering like comfort

I’ve got both and they are equally good with pros and cons like anything in life:

      Bose
      +Sound a lot better
+ANC significantly better - in fact it’s the best ANC i’ve experienced period.
+Controls are better, volume, double tap to switch to transparency etc work well for me. The squeezing of the stem on airpods pro’s are not as intuitive to me and more limited.
      +Work better on android devices
      - Can connect to one device at a time
      - This isn’t an issue for me personally but just listing that you can’t use the left bud on its own
-They’re bigger but it’s really the case that’s big compared to airpods and I really wish bose can shrink down the next pair.

      Airpods Pro’s
+Switching and connecting between apple devices is sweet
      +smaller
      +can use independently

They’re both great, if you value portability and connecting to multiple apple devices easily get the airpods. Bose are a better headphone for blocking more noise, controlling the level of ANC and sound much better. Both are comfortable, battery life isn’t an issue on either.

        Genuinely curious.
        1) in what way do they sound better? As in clearer and crisper (high/mid) or more bassy? I mainly do classical and jazz so prefer clarity over bass.
        2) can these connect to more than one device at a time like qc35?

which is better for teleconference? Vocal must be clear, even in noisy room.
        Thank you.

Might be worth waiting for the new Jabra Pro Elite 7 as they seem to have the right specs to be the best for conference calls.

However, if you want the best conference call quality inside then you need a dedicated headset. Jabra do the best semi compact headsets. The new Yealink WH62 has many of the best features of the more expensive Jabra ones but for around $200 (tax deductible). For example, people can't even here my kids jumping on the bed next to me when I'm using my Jabra Engage 75.

  • These headphones are good if you plan to use it with one device. I have to switch between three and its a nightmare. You have to open the app to disconnect from the first device and then re-connect to the second. And half the time it gets stuck in doing that.

    • Can't we just turn off bluetooth on first device and pair to the next?
