Excellent lens for portraits. Ranked as very sharp, a superb E mount lens. I use it on my APS-C and it can be used as a tele-portrait or for action from further away. Good size and handling, with customisable button for focus hold etc.
You can also pricematch with Digidirect on the Sony site.

Price matching it this way + Amex + CR would beat it by far for $514.17

Good price. I got it from digi last year for $705 and $50 Sony cash back.
Probably not as big a bargain hunter as some here. The effort required to keep going back and forward with Sony before they finally gave put the money in the bank put me off going through this process again.
Yep, I had issue with Sony cash back too, and this was buying directly from their online store. One would think there's less chance of issue !?@! Their Aust promotion team was/is incompetent and have zero interest in customer service. They don't even bother to reply when I followed up several times over many months.
Sony Online has this lens for $674.10. Currently there is 8% CashRewards. Also, some Amex card holders have $60 off for purchasing from Sony.
