The 50% off is capped at $10 for each of the first 2 orders. Rather misleading and you only find out when you go to checkout.
It's not too bad considering you also get $20 cashback.
Alternatively you could try some referral links from the random generator as the reward differs. I know mine gives $15 off $20 for the first 3 orders (plus $1 delivery or free delivery if stacked with a Dashpass trial)

Yes. Referral registration offer currently is: $15 off first three $20+ order, which makes the cashback deal not so appealing.

It does not hurt to try, but most likely not as pointed out here. Straight discount off is always better.

It's really hard
Referrals get voided all the time, and when you ask why, they claim you are cheating somehow.
I think they may not pay cashback, either. One of the reasons why CR does not list some merchants.
