Price is for the standard PS5 edition. RRP is $124.95. Next cheapest I've found for the physical edition is $108 at Harvey Norman. Horizon Forbidden West will be released on February 18, 2022.

Come on mate. You can't compare apples and fridges. I'm liking game pass on my series x, but there isn't amazing exclusives like this game that are included, unless first party ms games. Halo infinite, etc.

Even Horizon Zero Dawn which was released more than 4 years ago was never released on Xbox nor added to Xbox Game Pass … so again, if you want to play THIS specific game, how will you go about it unless you want to wait years and years (if ever)?

Yes. With PS5 games you're 100% going to buy on launch it makes sense to just preorder from Amazon.
I preordered GoT Directors Cut and ended up paying just $79. Have preordered Hogwarts Legacy for $109 but will be very surprised if it ennds up costing me that much. Will 100% preorder GT7 & GoW Ragnarok too once available.

Amazon lists games for preorder even if a release date isn't known. They had a placeholder for Hogwarts Legacy as "31 December 2021" which got changed to "31 December 2022". The actual release date will be updated and you will be notified by email once known.

Do not pre-order from Amazon unless you don't care about getting it on launch date (which completely defeats the purpose) or even the launch week.
Their delivery times during even normal periods are absolutely terrible.
I found that pre-covid I got games on release date all the time.
But yeah the past couple of years they haven't done that at all.
I assume you live in a location that doesn't have Amazon Flex? I have a 100% success rate in getting preorders delivered on release date in Melbourne.
With the Guarantee Delivery promise, if you don't get it on time, just jump onto chat and they will either offer a $5 or $10 Amazon credit.

Showing as 88 in the store page, but when I go to order it it's 99.95. Ah well, probably still order it anyway…
So, I ordered whilst the price said 88. It showed up as 99.95 in my cart. 5 minutes later the price has changed back to 99.95 on the listing. I doubt mine'll update.
It'll probably drop back down between now and February. You pay nothing now but get preorder price guarantee so no harm doing so.
