PlugBug Duo snaps onto your MacBook power adapter giving you the ability to charge your MacBook plus two additional USB powered devices, such as your iPhone and AirPods, from one outlet. Imagine how awesome that would be in an airport or a coffee shop where outlets are scarce. No more having to decide which item to charge before you board a plane or on a break at a conference.

It comes with travel adapters as well.

No idea why you'd want this over one of the many 60w+ multi port/adapter USB chargers instead

Especially since it's 10w. Why not just use the USB port(s) on your MacBook?

      • Exactly!

Bold of you to assume macbooks have USB A ports.

        • I mean you can charge your iPhone with a usb c port and if you need usb a, surely a dongle usb hub is cheaper and lighter than this thing

          • @becku: Most dongle hubs can only provide 1A or even 0.5A charging.

    This is a chungus

PlugBug was great for traveling back in the day, and I got a lot of use out of mine, but it's ancient tech nowadays. A quality built GAN charger easily surpasses this due to vast differences in size and weight, making GAN chargers a much better pick for travelling.

The only upsides to the PlugBug were the travel adaptors and extra USB ports. But when a GAN charger and a simple multi-country travel adaptor means you can leave the MacBook power brick at home, the PlugBug really isn't a practical solution for travellers anymore. It's dead tech.

  • These were neat when the laptops didn't use USB-C, but since they do, I can't imagine why you wouldn't just buy a multi-port USB-C charger.

  • I have one gathering dust now, was useful in its day

  • Also can catch standard, low level pokemon
