    Android?

    • -3

Sorry, we haven't started developing Android apps yet.

      • -4

        Fail. Android FTW!

      • +1

        Why not?

    • +1

There are a few car location apps already in the Android market such as Car Locator

  • +4

Great concept but I question how it can work In undercover parking?

    • +4

just like any other parking app…you have to insert the level, letter and number of the parking spot! :)
i still prefer the free… camera application of my phone, much faster and i don't have to type/insert any info ;)

      • Hi, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! Feel free to keep using the Camera application, but in some circumstances such as in huge parking lots with many cars or if you park a few streets away, it could be easier to find your car with iParkedHere. Also, the camera application does not have an alarm.

p.s. The app doesn't make you type/insert any info, you can type/insert what you want.

        • don't get me wrong mate! i really believe that your app worths it's current price(free) and i support your efforts! but my iphone camera, notes and voice recording apps are doing the job for me!
P.s.1 my phone has a free alarm!
p.s. 2 my camera has geotagging options and i can always place a free bookmark on google maps
p.s.3 regarding your p.s. : i saw some screenshots of your app in itunes with some drop down menus to enter colors, numbers and digits. cool sliding feature but i find it much slower than typing someting in notes or recording my own voice, that's all

    • +2

The thumbnail/app icon is misleading. Look at the screenshots on the iTunes store.

      • Hi, I apologise. I did not intend for the App icon to be misleading. I thought it was just a simple representation of cars in a parking lot so I decided to use it.

    • Thanks! In undercover parking, you simply slide the wheels to the colour, level and spot number of where you parked and you click the 'Lock' button. You can also take a picture of where you parked and/or write in notes. Unfortunately, we cannot use GPS in undercover parking lots because there is no [accurate] GPS signal on the actual iPhone when undercover.

Damn, I thought this app connected to your fbook to see which of your friends has parked in the same spot in the past.

    • I'm sorry about this. It doesn't say that it has this feature in the app description.

      • +2

Nope, I just got excited by the heading, didn't even read the description.

      • +1

perhaps that could be a future feature? foursquare for parking ;)

  • +6

WTF? How do you forget where you parked???

    • +30

Remember this is for Iphone users :P

      • i loled in real life…

    • +5

you'll be surprised… unfortunately, i'm not born with a good memory so sometimes I forget where i've parked :P

  • +14

Green car has a bit more than just a locating issue.

  • +2

Fantastic concept, if not for just parking on the street. I have a terrible memory and almost always forget how much time I have left before I need to renew the ticket, so the alarm is great. Thank you!

    • Thanks!

    • +1

I think all the people who have "never forgot where they parked" probably don't get out enough….
Either that or their brains don't usually do a lot of thinking, so when they remember where they park it's easy cause the brain isn't doing much else :P

      • +1

Or maybe its just that their brain actually works like it should.

      • +3

So you can't store things in your brain?

    • I think it is handy if you would be looking for a car that you didn't park originally.

  • -5

If you can't remember where you parked, then should you even be driving?

    • for people so smart as you are, your next challenge is to live on Mars

      • Is that meant to be funny?

Anyway, how hard is it to pay attention to what you are doing and your surroundings when you walk from where you are parked to where you go into the shops? Finding your car is simply a reversal of the path taken. I worry for you if you fail at that.

        • +2

whatever the way you wish to take it, funny or not. The point is, there are people around not so good at everything, unlike the so-gifted you guys, so it's very nice those apps pop up from time to time and it's free.Forgetting where the car parked doesn't mean the driver is an on-road concern. If you are too smart to use it, just leave it to us and find something stimulating to you. Applying your logic, at least half of the apps out there should be rubbish-binned, or maybe that's indeed your idea :_)

  • +4

How do you people cope when you go to a big market or festival and have to park in an unmarked field like everyone else? Do you just have to wait until everyone else leaves so you can see your car?

    • Great Point

    • +1

Just walk around and keep pressing your remote control… If you used manual lock, well then sucks to be you.

      • +1

or just press the panic button(car alarm) to find your car \o/

        • +1

lol if everyone else had the same idea….. :O

        • I did that once when I couldn't find my car at a huge field.
It attracted the security guard though :D

  • This is why i love driving a vehicle that is allowed to park in loading zones and in no parking/no standing. No way to lose it :)

  • +2

i'm blessed with an excellent memory and uncanny ability to find a good spot so i never forget where i've parked…but this is a nifty app. maybe should have called it Dude Where's My Car? :p

  • +4

The only thing I don't understand is why the app icon has a picture of a car illegally parked. Even if you did park there, your car probably won't be there when you get back ;)

    • haha, thats the first time someone has actually brought that up :P

    • +2

The blue car might be reversing out of an opposite parking spot before turning to drive off ;-)

      • +4

I think the blue car is the sort of person that wants to come into the park you're about to leave, but doesn't give you enough room to easily drive out.

I always wonder how it is some people seem oblivious to the idea they'd get into the park faster if they made it easier for the person leaving.

  • +4

I'm still surprised that any OzBargainer would need this app to remember where they parked. I've been a member here for quite a while and seen some folk willing to crawl over broken glass with their flies unzipped just to save $0.40 on biscuits. That's why I'd like to think OzBargainers wouldn't misplace (even if only temporarily) an asset worth several thousand dollars.
