Ah cheers mate, it was defaulting to amazon US for some reason. Got one for the switch. Champion.

      • I can see discount on the 256 card but not the 400 card

        • +2

Just make sure you're purchasing from the Amazon AU listing, this one should be it.

          • @doweyy: Ha, thanks i didn't realise it was the same problem as above and clicking on the 400gb link went to the US page when i was already on the AU one!

  • Will the Sandisk Ultra 256 GB work well with DJI Mini 2?

  • Does anyone actually make use of the 256GB let alone 400GB micro SD in their phone?

Probably could do with a large microSDHC U1 in a laptop.

    • +2

It has its uses to store apps and fully uncompressed photos taken by your phone's camera.
It also depends on how much storage your phone originally comes with.

    • +8

Some people would have large music collections. Not everyone uses Spotify.

      • +3

        Some people chiming in. This.
        512GB almost full.

        • Another some person here, 256gb full. I have 128gb internal though which isn't full yet.

I bought 2 of the 256gb cards for my switch. 128gb fills up way too fast.

      • +2

Can verify this, I store all my music in FLAC. Don't like streaming services, to much compression

        • How do you get them considering freezer is ending soon?

          • +4

@Mi2: Not sure what freezer is, but I'm guessing it's something to do with "downloading music" lol.
Believe it or not I buy CDs just to rip and store them in my phone and server. I love the music and so I want to support the artist :)

            • @Wystri Warrick: I also support artists. But it's easier this way and takes less space for being flac. Usually when I buy an album they send me wav which takes lot of space. If I like it then I will 100% support them, especially if they are not well known.

          • @Mi2:

            How do you get them

Zdigital.com.au has much of their catalog available in FLAC format.

    • My SDHC card is loaded with anime. It's just backup media in case I'm somewhere out of range of mobile signal or even overseas so I have something to watch.

      • Hentai? :P

        • Nah, I keep all the good stuff like Bible Black etc on the harddrive.

          Hehehe.

      • late reply but, do you torrent on phone? or do you transfer anime from your pc onto your phone

        • +1

Transfer anime from my pc. It's just easier.

Otherwise, I did install some app to direct download anime off Kissanime previously but it wasn't worth the hassle.

    • I got a 256gb for my Switch (not this deal), don't even use 128gb in my phone. Actually wondering if it's big enough.

    • Does anyone actually make use of the 256GB let alone 400GB micro SD in their phone?

I actually do have a 400GB card in my LG V30+.

I've got some edited GoPro videos (edited via their Quik app) saved on the card, and I also have the card set as my default location for photo storage. I've currently only got about 21GB free…

    • I do. 40GB of music and the rest is movies that I'll get around to watching one day, I promise.

Even though I never watch movies on my phone. I don't know why I'm like this.

    • Raspberry Pis, bruh.

My TravelPi (films for going on holiday) is only 128GB at the moment - Doubling capacity here!

  • +3

    Really good price for 400Gb.

What is the best price for 1Tb these days?

  • too slow, i need extreme pro

Any comments on the High Endurance for Blackvue dashcams (DR750X-2CH)? Or should I go for Pro Endurance / Max Endurance?

    • +1

The endurance rating for Max is significantly higher than the High Endurance versions. But write/read speeds and class specs are the same.

      Max Endurance:
Actual hours of video saved less. Up to 120,000 hours/over 13 years for 256GB; 60,000 hours for 128GB; 30,000 hours for 64GB; and 15,000 hours for 32GB. Full HD video only; total hours less for 4K UHD video.

You can see the High Endurance rating on Amazon page. For example, 256GB has 12000 hours compared to the 120000 hours of Max endurance.

  • Thanks OP almost bought this morning, lucky i waited

thinking to get the 400GB are these good for the Nintendo switch?

    • +1

I have one in mine. Good enough for me. No issues at all

      • +1

Hey how many games have you been able to put on it and whats the remaining storage left?

        • To give you a rough idea, I have 256gb, has 60 games (some of them are 15 gb +) and it is full. I bought this 400 gb expect to contain 80 game-ish?

        • Sorry bit delayed.
Forgot to check and when i did it was dead flat. Been a while since i have played it.
I have a relatively small collection installed, most are of my games are deals that i havent opened because of my ps5.
45-ish items. 22.5gb free on console. 249gb free on sd card.
Most of my games i own physical copies or the digital copies are quite small.

anyone use these as timemachine backups for their mac? any issue using these over ssd?

    • +1

Also keen to know if it would be suitable to leave in a MacBook Pro SD card slot permanently?

      • +2

I work i IT and I wouldn't recommend it. Constant Read/writes are prone to corruption with the MicroSDs.

    • +1

Sorry I'm not a Mac user, so don't know what time machine is. But if going to be using a SD card permanently connect and used on the device then it's recommended to get a high endurance one

  • Hmmm it is good price for 400gb sd. I see some of the sd card price are dropping again… not sure if I need to wait further or not

  • why is 256gb better value than 400gb?

    • More details are needed….. Most likely cost per GB

      • yeh cost/gb the 256gb is better value.

        • Lower capacity is usually cheaper per GB, high capacity drives/cards are harder to make and newer tech.

  • Huh. $19.99 for the 256 as I apparently had $15 promo credit…me happy.

    • how to get $15 promo credit?

  • +1

Not sure, if anybody would be interested or is relevant these days, but the Sandisk cards come with a 1 year subscription of RescuePro Deluxe software. It's located inside of the card enclosure once you open it.

  • Why the review say it's fake, damage in 3 weeks?

    • Amazon has co-mingled inventory from 3rd party sellers on the same product page (but sold by the 3rd party seller) which have the same review page. If you buy directly from Amazon AU (which this is) it’ll be genuine.
